how special teams rakings are calculated

I saw a thread questioning how Clemson's special rating was so low. Google answered my search with several links. This site had a decent explanation for how special team rankings are calculated. Caveat; this is one site and, based on a cursory scan of my results, there may be many ways of calculating.
