My daughter is already visiting college campuses. Scheduling Clemson visit soon. That’s her #1 choice, but she’s checking out everything. But man! I’m proud and sad all at the same time! Who else has been there?

Been there and it’s certainly a milestone in life. When the last one leaves it’s party time at the homestead!

We moved in our first born at Clemson and then got in the car to drive home and we couldn't speak hardly. Both about to break down. What a great day but we knew we hit a milestone! When we did the same with my Daughter, it happened all over again!

Same. Got in the car and just died in silence for 3 hours. Began to recover after 2 weeks. I knew it was coming. I absolutely dreaded my oldest leaving for the entire summer. It is bitter sweet watching your children grow up. It is only bitter if they don’t grow up.

First one was bitter sweet. Last one was a grieving process

Mrs. DST & I went through our son going off to school in 2018. Granted, we live in Liberty & he went to Clemson - but still.
In August, we will be moving our daughter into Charleston Southern.
I know that will be tougher to handle!!

CIU would be a great choice for a good Christian girl.

My son has a friend that started there but transferred to Carolina. He said he just couldn't get what he wanted there. If your daughter is looking for a smaller, and more Christian school, she may want to consider Anderson University. My daughter was accepted to Clemson but chose to go to Anderson and absolutely loved the experience. Just a thought... I know how tough this decision is. Tell her not to rush it. My son is finishing up his masters at Clemson this May.

Been there ..... done that!
Visited Alabama, meh, Auburn, ok, Duke , hated, UNC, particularly hated, UVA, loved (provisional acceptance), Wake Forest, loved (early acceptance). Of course she loved Clemson, but I guess I took her there too much growing up .......though she is still a huge Tiger fan. She picked Wake Forest & then Georgetown for Masters.

Been there done that!
I have 4 sons. Oldest said the college route was not for him, hit the work force and decided working for a large company (Michelin) was not for him after 6 Years. Took a job doing grading and bobcat work for a couple of years and loves it.
The second oldest got excepted to Clemson (through bridge program)and after some major changes got settled in and graduated and was hired before he graduated. Loves what he is doing and making good money doing it.
Third son went the same route as second son. Bridge then Clemson. He graduated and also had a job at graduation. He loves his job and is making good money as well. Both second and third son graduated in graphic communications and have a lot of options.
The baby of the family got early enrollment at Clemson and will be completing his first year this spring. Toured Clemson, South Carolina,Duke, College of Charleston and UNC.
My wife and I have been married for 32 years and the house is a lot quieter these days . We miss having a house full of boys, but we both are extremely proud of the men our little boys have grown into. It’s tough seeing them go, but it is also extremely gratifying to see them thrive.
