How is Georgia’s defense any better than ours?

Our offense did not score any touchdowns and Georgia’s did not score any touchdowns. They returned starting quarterback, running back and O line and we lost first round quarterback, and running back and third round of tackle and Amari Rogers. When is the last time Georgia rushed for less than 130 yards as a team in a game? I don’t hear anyone saying Georgia’s O line is terrible!
We have a new O line and it takes time for it to gel. Had we opened up with Citadel and blew them out, us and pundits would be saying how great we are, but we opened up against a top five team and lost by seven and held their offense scoreless. This showed all the things to work on early, so hopefully they can be corrected. I feel a lot better after this game than I would if I was an Oklahoma fan.

I'm more impressed with our defense in this game because

we were doing absolutely nothing on offense and UGA generally had good field position.
Our defense was constantly on the field and UGA had short fields. Any "normal defense" and that's a 24-3 blowout win for UGA.
I cannot believe that we kept playing and held them to 3 points.

Considering their OL is considered one of best in nation

not by me or by clemson people but by all the major outlets, I'd say our defense allowing 3 is more impressive then their defense allowing 3.
Don't see how its even arguable.

Maybe because we held a dynamic clemson offense to 2 yards rushing and 180 yards total offense? When was the last time the tigers were held touchdown-less? It's been quite a while to inform you. The dawgs rushed for 121 yards and when it counted on Georgia's last possession Zamir White rushed for 43 of his 74 total yards to seal the deal.

Both defenses are legit top 5 in the country. We had our chances, we didn't capitalize. It's ok. Loses like these build character. Probably good we got smacked in the mouth early in the season. Time to move on and prepare for a dominant rest of the season. The loss also did a few other good things like exposing our terrible play calling and do do trash offensive line scheme...

We didn't have the pressure on the QB that they did with us. You can blame that on a lot of things, but that stat stands out. Other than that . we did as good as they did. . and arguably better in some places and situations. But they don't show up on stat lines. I think we're fine with the D and I think we will win games with it. I'm a Raven's fan. Look to the Ravens 2000 Super Bowl win and look at that season. Seriously, if you like this stuff, see how the Ravens won the super bowl . and without even scoring a touchdown for three consecutive weeks during teh season.

We had 1 sack to their 7, we had less TFL, they held us to 2 yards rushing, they were missing starters on defense and offense. You talk about us missing lineman that got drafted, they had 2 that got drafted, their center got injured 2 weeks before the game and didn't play and their starting guard went down on the first series with a season ending injury. Every excuse you just threw out they could throw it out but even more. Just tip your cap to them, both of our defense are elite and top 5. No shame in that. Our boys played amazing.

In reality, we don't know which defense is better.
If you consider our offense was clearly more dysfunctional than theirs, one could argue our defense is better.

For one, they play their best 11 players on defense, regardless of seniority........
