How is Cooper Flagg not unanimous freshman of the year?!?!

You could reasonably ask why is he not unanimous player of the year, but it’s something else that he’s not unanimous freshman of the year. Some Cal freshman got 2 votes. Let’s take a look at the stats:

Flagg: 31 G 30.9 MPG 19.4 PPG 37.7 3PT% 7.6 RPG 4.2 APG 1.5 SPG 1.3 BPG 2.2 TO

Jeremiah Wilkerson: 31 G 26.9 MPG 15.4 PPG 32.6 3PT% 2.0 RPG 1.5 APG 0.8 SPG 0.1 BPG 1.6 TO

I literally mean something else. It’s not basketball, that’s for sure. It’s that far lopsided by reality on the court that two voters really don’t like Flagg, for whatever reason.

Even tried to see if Wilkerson went off against Duke. A very good 21pts. Flagg went for 27.

Those two voters should have their vote pulled immediately.

being 1st ballot HOFers, or, in this case, a unanimous HOFer. I've listened to smart people discuss this, and there are literally voters that think a guy should be in the HOF, but won't vote for him the first time he's on the ballot because they don't feel he's worthy of being a 1st ballot HOFer. It's extremely dumb. The HOF doesn't differentiate between these guys, and neither should the voters. A player is either worthy or the HOF or not. If he is, vote for him. Don't vote no and then vote yes later.
