How come we cant fix running down the hill first?

Last games I knew we were going to lose. They don’t run down that hill with any force or passion anymore. Just lolly gagging. Why? That use to be a way to impose our will. Now it’s a sad hill.

I think I've said this in another post before, but I'll add it here. I admit that gestures have limited impact, but they can make a statement if they're actually something that impacts the heart. So, my suggestion would be that Dabo shouldn't allow THIS team to run down The Hill or Touch the Rock for another game until/unless they play with passion and win the game.

Imagine the team coming out under those circumstances, having to earn it. Maybe, just maybe, it would light a fire under them/embarrass them/challenge them, because not team has ever faced that before. Then if/when they win it, CLIMBING the Hill and touching the Rock in celebration. I think it could be a powerful gesture!

At least it would show humility and respect for what Rubbin' the Rock is supposed to mean!

That would make a statement but the fans pay to see it. They need to come out mean and aggressively attack that hill run.

You are forgetting something critical that will help clear it up for you. It no longer is about the players being hyped up and the crowd feeding off the players and the players off the crowd, and creating this intimidating entrance any longer; it’s not about the most exciting 25 seconds in sports any more. This is about Dabo shining the spotlight on HIM; making him the center of attention off the busses and then making it about his little showmanship sprint to midfield. Long past are the days this is about the players and fans. The sooner you accept that the easier it will be to understand.

I WISH the players would follow Dabo’s lead and sprint onto the field with as much passion and enthusiasm as he has.

Instead, it’s like watching molasses being poured down the hill. In fact, the word I think of when it comes to our team speed in general is “geriatric”. So maybe the answer is… that’s as fast as they can go?
