How can I tell if the game tickets are fake?

My brother found some 4 BC tickets on Facebook for $60. The barcode numbers are all different. How can I tell if they are real?

Even if they are real, there May be 10 copies.
Never trust a ticket that shows the barcode. That is one way to scam tickets.
Your brother could easily take a pic of the bar code and print off his own tickets.

I bought fake tickets for the FSU Clemson game from a scalper 2 years ago. The errors on the tickets were obvious if I had been paying attention. The seats were lower section F, but the gate was top deck. Also when compared to the real tickets, the font was different. Still, I got in the game and had a great time, but that's another story.

1) walk around the entire stadium perimeter
Sep 20, 2017, 2:29 PM

2) note the ticket person with the most worn-out looking shoes, or looks to be the "neediest" 3) when their line gets empty, walk up to them discretely holding a crisp new $50 bill 4) confidently place in hand with a broad smile, and you'll be waved right in.

Someone else could make fake tickets with the same barcode, whether the ones in the post are real or not.

If the person is showing the bar codes, either he or she is not smart or the tickets are no good.
One way to find out if the tickets are good and protect them is to try to list them on Stubhub. If Subhub shows them as valid, set a very high price. Then deactivate the listing just before you go in the stadium.

The problem is that the ticket could be sold on Stubhub and the original bar code invalidated for first person showing up as well as all others.

This exact scenario happened to me during the FSU game (Jameis Winston beat down game). I had the university issued tickets. Bought them off the season ticket holder who had listed them on Craig's list. Someone took the barcode of the CL ad and uploaded them on stub hub. The season ticket holder walked me into the Clemson ticket office after I was denied entry and explained what had happened. We were told by the university ticket office that my tickets were no good and that the stolen tickets sold on stub hub were the legitimate tickets.
Be aware.

if so, you have a fake.
Same holds true if there is a Z or a P anywhere in CLEMSON

My strategy would be to go through Stubhub and enter the tickets as if you were selling them. Don't actually list them, but see if it will let you get to the pricing section after you enter the bar codes. If it does, then they are good tickets. If it gives you a barcode error, then they have already been sold elsewhere or are fake. This is what I suggest doing for any tickets bought off of the street as well (with full cooperation of the person selling them).

The safest ways are:
1) Buy them from Clemson 2) Buy them from a season ticket holder and have them transfer them electronically through the IPTAY website. 3) Stubhub
Anything else and you're taking a chance. I'd lay you long odds against those Facebook tickets being legit. And there's no way to tell before you get to the gate unless they're poor counterfeits.
