Does Denver have a gang problem? I mean, sure. All big cities do to some degree. Small ones do as well.

Are there venzuelan gang members in Denver, Aurora, and other parts of Colorado? Probably.

Have apartment buildings been taken over by venzuelan gangs? Have entire cities been taken over by venzuelan gangs? I guess it depends on who you ask. Twitter has led many to believe this is true. Local law enforcement, the mayor of Aurora, residents of the apt buiding in questions, relatives that I have that LIVE in Aurora RIGHT NOW, and many others have said this is not the case.

So when we say "problem", I'd agree there is a problem if there is a single gang member anywhere.

My point is that I don't think it's resonable to believe it's to the extent that whole buildings and cities and towns are being taken over.

"Federal investigators in New Mexico last week arrested and sent back to Colorado an alleged Tren de Aragua gang member they say is linked to a violent jewelry store robbery in Denver.

On July 31, Homeland Security Investigations officials said that special agents from Las Cruces, New Mexico, had turned over custody of a Venezuelan man believed to be a Tren de Aragua gang member to the Denver County Sheriff’s Office.

The man is a suspect in the June 24 robbery of family-owned jewelry store Joyeria El Ruby in Denver’s West Highland neighborhood, according to Homeland Security investigators.

Federal investigators said the gang is an emerging threat in Denver, where thousands of Venezuelan migrants have resettled, and other U.S. cities, according to a statement from Homeland Security Investigations regional spokeswoman Alethea Smock."

Some may want to inflate the problem while some are wanting to disregard it all together - all because it helps or hurts their political tribe. I get it...

I don't care if this crime involved just 1 illegal dude (and by the looks of it - more are involved) these illegal immigrants SHOULD NOT BE HERE TO BEGIN WITH. We have enough crime problems amongst our own citizenry without having more of it showing up in our cities from an uncontrolled Southern border.

I'm not against legal immigration and fully understand we need a steady flow of immigrants to come to this country. The USA is more than capable of conducting our immigration through an orderly, lawful process to meet every one of our economy's needs. We are also more than capable of securing our Southern border to prevent the majority of illegal crossings if we had the total political will to do so.

But what we have right now is purposeful bad policy on our side of the border yielding uncontrolled chaos that is largely controlled and profited by the Mexican drug cartels on the Mexican side of the border. There are some very bad people getting into this country and not just from nations down South - Russia, other Eastern Europeans, and China are infiltrating our border as well. There are enough bad people coming across that border with bad intentions that everyone should be screaming "STOP IT".

But here we are... not giving a shid or downplaying the illegal immigrant issues because the bad stuff is happening to someone else and not in our neighborhood...yet....
