Compared to past teams how bad are these guys? I don't think Dabo has had a team this bad. Not sure Bowden did. And I'm not talking about the record so far but just the visual and feel you get from the time they run down the hill. I would have loved to have seen some of these "practices" that Dabo raved about because these guys are so obviously bad it's just not debatable.

Looks like severe underperformance from the DL, and a serious lack of talent and development from the back 7 on defense. On offense, a QB thats had a bad year and was never really as good as people thought, and just an absolute dumpster fire from talent to execution on the OL. Oh and we have a WR playing RB who is slow and can’t find the correct holes to run through. The RB coach won’t play the young 4 stars.
I think we are unable to realize how bad the team is as Tiger fans. It’s a shock to the system because we are Clemson.
It’s going to take a complete overhaul of staff and philosophy to get out of this self inflicted hole they are in.

I guarantee we’re just running half speed at practice and can’t adjust properly in games. BV players wouldn’t always be in the right spot, but they would at least go balls to the wall to the wrong spot.

BAD AND THE WORST IS YET TO COME! Duke will come in and physically beat us on both sides and completely outcoach us like evryone does , and it will only get worse with losses coming with louisville, and the ##### for sure. FSU is probably still better so we will most likely beat only Furman. Mike4tigers will continue to tell us all what a great coach DABO is and how we are only a QB away . lol

'98 was the last time we were this bad. Started ranked #19 in the coaches poll. Finished 3-8 (had two 4 games losing streaks in the same season). We're not quite that bad this year but it's close.

I will say one thing about Dabo.... it wasn't until 2-3 years ago when I heard Dabo pumping up his teams so much in the pre-season. And I never heard him talking about having a team that could win the Natty until the last couple of years.
When we had teams that competed or won Natty's, it was always how bad they were doing in practice or their shortcomings.
Its like he thinks he has to pump them up... maybe thats where we are now with kids these days. They need to be fed how good they are even if they are not.
I remember Dabo saying the 2023 or 2024 team might be his best team ever, and it was Ben Boulware who called out Dabo publicly saying the 2016 team would have wiped the kitchen floor with that team.
“I’ll never speak bad about coach Swinney, ever, til the day I die, because he’s elite and an incredible man and coach. … But I saw where Swinney… he tried to compare this team to the 2016 team, and said that the 2016 team stunk but was luckier than this version of the Tigers. Dude, I love you Swinney. And I know I’m not in that locker room. But come on,” Boulware said. “The 2016 team would whoop this team right now. We would freakin wipe our butts with this freakin team right now. So I saw that quote, and I was like, ‘Dude, there’s no way.’ We’re not even in the same spectrum as this team.”

Dang guys, everything has changed. You want good recruiting, portal, etc you better be talking up your team. Whether you like or approve of the “Dabo way” or not, the TRUTH is Clemson cannot afford to be “just like” many other contenders. It is not a major media market, it has a much smaller alumni base, which also means fewer multimillionaires, few large corporations in the area, etc. We cannot just go buy players. Money drives things now so we best recognize the reality and differentiate ourselves and accentuate our strengths. AND, Yes this year is a huge disappointment.

As far as speaking bad about Dabo I think when you make 11 million a year and your staff makes another 10 million a year I can talk bad about him all I want. As far as coaching goes, I've never thought Dabo was a good Xs and Os coach. A great recruiter and a good manager but he was the best coach when he stayed out of the play calling.

Offensively how many guys will end up playing in the NFL? Also, defensively the NFL talent we have on our team has taken the year off.

This same team was better than average last year with a 10-4 record ACC championship and got into the playoffs playing Texas decently. (It is hard to figure what happened to this bunch since last season)

That we all of a sudden lack talent and are terrible at basically every position outside of kicker & punter.
In retrospect, the LSU & GT losses could have happened to a good team. Close games.
But getting owned by Cuse and SMU at home and Troy leading much of the game is a different story.
I’m hopeful that the team that won 10 is still in there somewhere…but it seems they left the building.
