Houston Texans Draft

Apr 20, 2019, 6:55 PM

Here's hoping Bill O'Brien and those dumba$$es in mgt that DW4 is carrying in Houston will break down and draft some offensive linemen next week. With DW4 sacked over 60 times in 2018, Andre Dillard/WSU, Jonah Williams/Bama, Jawaan Taylor/Fla, Dalton Risner/KS St, Mike Deiter/Wisc, Kaleb McGary/Wash, Tytus Howard/Bama St, and Greg Little/Miss are all potential quality starters. Risner, Deiter, McGary are candidates to move inside and play G or C if needed.

So let's get to work Houston scouts and management and protect asset number one. And not picking up expensive and inconsistent J. Clowney may be advisable. Spend some cash on OL. Go DW4! Go Tigers!

I think jonah will be gone but Andre Dillard may

be there and he would be a good pick. The only real knock on him is that he can't run block and is coming from a system that rarely ran the ball, but that's OK. Texas just need a LT that can pass pro and he should be great at that.

Don't be surprised if they go corner in the first round

The way they should have worked it

Is to trade for a proven free agent. The free agency trades are the most effective personnel managers. You can get rid of a position you may have too many of, and sign a PROVEN player at a position you need. If it's worked right, you can even get an extra draft pick or two out of the deal. The times you're more likely to "hit on a player" in the draft is on offensive and defensive skill positions. It's much easier to "bust" on a lineman. That being said, if a team didn't do anything to trade or sign for a free agent, they should keep a watchful eye out for a good deal on a lineman.
