GT cheerleader that grew up and remains a die-hard Clemson fan.
At least GT could beat Miami... That game was much more exciting than watching Van Dyke's backup beat the Tigers in overtime.

You must be 10 years old. The Clemson /GT rivalry has been very good and exciting since 1983 and existed way prior. You can't base an entire rivalry on recent history. Plus we recruit Georgia probably heavier than any other state other than our own. Many of our best players have come from Georgia. Always thought the thinking is it's important to be able to tell a recruit they could play back in their home state twice in their career. No other games on our schedule excite me like SC, GT, and FSU and UGA when we play them. PERIOD. and I'm never changing on that.

and BTW Clemson has an all time losing record to GT 35-50-2 and you think it's been a snooze fest. LOL!

I played on the first team to beat GT since WW2 in 1969. It was such a big deal that we carried Coach Howard off the field after the game like we had just won some kinda championship. Beating GT back then was a wonderful win for the Tigers.

Why fight for rivalries that will end with the next conference realignment? Isn't that what 90% of Tiger fans want? A new conference?
