Honest Question: What is reasonable for Clemson to expect each year?

I ask this question in complete honesty. I am not trying to flame. Just an honest question from the Clemson fans.
What is REALISTIC for Clemson to expect in football going forward?
- Winning 10 games?
- Making the playoffs? (Every year? Every other year? Once every 3 years? Once every 5 years? 10 years?)
- Going .500?
- Having a winning season?
- Making a bowl game?
I think every team has ebbs and flows. But, college football has changed rather dramatically in just the last few years and just curious what you guys think?

If we fire one or two coaches with less than 5 transfers, then our over under win total should be 6.5

I think we would just prefer the team to win the games they should win (and some we weren’t expecting) and compete with the best. Right now, it’s not even close to that.

Considering the amount of $$$ this staff is paid or will be paid with a revamped group, at least a win in the playoffs every year and a deeper run every other season or two.

Historically speaking we should be in the top 25 dang near every year. In this new era of a 12 team playoffs every other year is the standard we need to be at.
From a philosophy standpoint the anger at least from me and others I know isn't that the results are awful, but it's how awful, how listless, and how lifeless we look. You can take a loss on the chin when you show life and heart out there, but we don't even look mad or show heart out there. Losing to GT on the road stings, losing to LSU stings but we were in that one till the end. College ball happens and you move on and you take those losses and start to adapt so you're better prepared in the future (something we've taken for granted in the coaching ranks)
Syracuse and SMU at home? Louisville at home? Teams that you have more talent than just pushing your sh!t around all day? THAT is unacceptable. I don't think any Clemson fan is unreasonable to saying getting blown off the ball by less talented and less funded teams (which matters in the pay for play era) at HOME no less is unacceptable.
We don't have some birthright to be in the title every year, but we DO have the money cache and earned the right as a fanbase to say getting bullied around at home by lesser teams is NOT the standard we have. Not some Pitt 2016 scenario where it's a nailbiter and the 1/100 times you get upset, but getting bullied at home.

We don't play to the talent level, but I'd be shocked if SMU/Cuse/Louisville has more players drafted than us. Being out coached and out played and out worked I agree on. But Talent composite wise and draft wise I'd say we have more raw talent.

With some playoff wins/conference titles at least every few years. I think Dabo has set that precedent at Clemson and as long as Clemson is in the ACC, this should be attainable. Obviously, this year has gone to ****.

Our floor should be 8 regular season wins. And that’s a bad season. I don’t care what others think. I think a consistent top 15 team on average and competition nationally at least once every 3-4 years.

Agreed. 11-9 wins each season. Every 1-3 yrs playoff contender.
If we move to SEC slide this to 10-8 wins....but even then still every 1-3 yrs playoff contender.

Top 15 or about is where I feel clemson should be. And defending Death Valley like their lives depend on it, EVERY SINGLE HOME GAME. Doesn't matter if the opponent is Furman or LSU, PERIOD

8 wins is reasonable as a floor but that can't be consistent. As long as we are in the ACC we should be at or very near the top of the conference every year. No excuse for Clemson to be struggling to beat anyone but the very best teams in the ACC. This is what got TB fired. Losing to Wake, BC and others and missing the championship game regularly is not acceptable. We also have to be competitive with our in-state rival. If we do that we will have our share of playoff opportunities.
I don't think any reasonable Clemson fan thinks we should be in the hunt for a natty every year but we need to be in the conversation and stay there throughout the season.

We would ask WHOEVER signed Off on Coach Swinney's
2021 extention with $11,500,000 per year for
10 years fully quaranteed what were "Their Expectations"
for Coach Swinney to maintain on a yearly basis.

I'm like this you can't win them all, so I look at it this if the players are playing their hearts out on the field and left it all on the field and you get beat just tip your hat to the winner, we get them next time that all you can do and that all I want to see from the players and most of the time if you do this you win 99 percents of you games this is how Alabama played when Nick Saban was coach give me all you got for 4 quarters and you will receive your reward to me it's not about winning and losing its earning respect from coaches and fans and other teams GO TIGERS
