Folks -- Let's get it straight. Now, there are Homecoming displays on Bowman Field. Some are moving displays and some are still displays. Floats are what heads up the First Friday Parade and used to (what happened to you SAE) take the Homecoming Queen around the field at halftime during the Homecoming football game. In the 70's we filled Bowman and the other side of Tillman with both still and moving displays.

Yeah, I never understood why so many call them floats now. They were always called displays (which they were) when I was there. Not to mention, back in the day they were way more creative. Not the cookie cutter wall displays you see now.
