Deflated and bruised.
How on any earthen ground should that happen? 22 night game streak, honoring dudes at home after 2 weeks? 2 WEEKS?!
i love me some Tiger football, but that wasn't it. Not close.

The worst football game I’ve attended in a long time. Outplayed and outcoached. The coaching staff should be embarrassed.

I sure hope that the coaching staff is embarrassed.
If not, then they have very little self-respect.

Shocking news break boys were not a playoff team not even close …we will lose to VT and the coots for sure I’ve never seen a Clemson Team play with less heart than I did tonight …this was an epic ### whoopin …even Tommy west teams played with heart …knowing most of the time they were out manned …Dabo is proud about playing the second and third team guys what I saw tonight was an offense line that got pushed around by full grown ### men …I’m pretty sure they might have need more play time that’s the first team …wow this was shocking utterly shocking

Their offensive line OUTPLAYED our offensive line period. When you consistently can't make 1 yard you have OL problems. The defense played uninspired for some reason which puzzles me. The Louisville line was cut blocking and that should have been called. Very little pressure on the QB which is not a Clemson defense. I was shocked we couldn't move the ball better and throw downfield until the 4th quarter when the game was decided. Hope we can get better fast because those two road games coming up are going to be tough.

I have something to say about this debacle. Chop blocking begets chop blocking. Payback. Marah failed to reach the "line to gain" 3 times when he could have easily. The o-line sucked. Briningstool wasn't used at all. Riley's scheme lacked everything. 2pt conversions vs. Extra point kicks when the Math added up to go for 2, crap. Refs with their delay of game calls, crap. Can't believe I waited 2 weeks and recorded this game so.i could watch "live" when I got home. CRAP!!!!

The ESPN ref in the booth explained that it is not an illegal cut block if both linemen go for the knees only if 1st one lined up in front of defender goes high and second one goes low. Briningstool dropped 2 catchable balls thrown to him. And I believe there was another that was bad throw when he was open.
There were inexplicable calls by the ref, onsides kick where line judge could have seen 16 had the ball with No explanation if "blocking" by kick team was called as a factor (I didn't know you have to run around a player in front of you).

On onside kicks, it is OK for players in opposing teams to run into each other as long as they are going for the ball.
On the game’s first onside kick, Woodaz was clearly engaged in blocking if the LOU player on the receiving team.
There were two wrong calls by the refs in that play that led to a correct result in that Clemson shouldn’t have gotten possession of the ball.
This represented yet another special team coaching failure.
Do our coaches not know the onside kick rules? If they indeed know it, then they are not having our kick-off team practice it enough.

Louisville exposed a team that IMO, could not beat any of the top 10 teams in any polls you care to talk about.

So much opportunity on the line this season...
Wasted...
Why Dabo? You had two weeks...
Championship coaches and teams don't let this happen...
Let that sink in Dabo... you don't 'own' the loss ... that's too easy...

Another spot on article. At the game last night, I was having flashbacks to sitting in the stadium at South Bend two years ago. Not a good feeling.
The coaches totally failed the team. There is enough Tiger talent on the roster to not get embarrassed in a night game at home. The buck stops with Dabo. I don’t want to hear any lectures from him about how we, the fans, are spoiled. Dabo let the team down last night. All I want to hear from Dabo is “I take full responsibility and I will fix this.”

How can Dabo fix it?

He's the one that let the team go downhill, yet he's repeatedly said he's willing to let the team go downhill to not to compromise his beliefs, which are NIL and the Portal are bad. So the only way he can fix the team is by using the way he's saying he won't use fix the team.

He hasn’t.
He either doesn’t know how to fix it, or is unwilling to do what it takes to fix it.
If we can figure out how to sneak into the playoffs (we will obviously need some help) then this can be deemed a successful season. Otherwise, we are looking at our fourth underachieving season in a row.

We’re too far down the rabbit hole for it to be “fixed.” Both lines of scrimmage need to be rebuilt. Godwin needs to go and we need to find a real defensive coordinator. We need somebody who knows how to coach special teams. The whole team needs to be shaken up from top to bottom. We need to reverse our stance on transfers and address weaknesses on the team with quality experience players like our opponents are doing. All of Dabo’s family members, roommates, family friends, need to be removed from the staff and replace with motivated and dedicated individuals Who know how to coach football. I don’t think Dabo is actually going to do anyway of what I just said, but it’s what needs to happen.

Looked like we came out soft and flat and just expected to waltz to victory. I'm sure the coaches warned the players about getting complacent and it looks like they were ignored so welcome back to football irrelevance.

Bottom line, it is highly unlikely that either Miami or SMU will lose so our ship sailed. We did not miss 2 kicks, they were blocked and is 100% on the coach. In golf terms, we hit some good shots but could not make a putt when we had to have it. Now that we have nothing to play for but beating the chicks, it will be interesting to see if our pride and character come to the top while hoping for a loss by Miami and SMU.
