TV (sometimes) comedian John Oliver discussed Senate Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s book “Positively American: Winning Back the Middle-Class Majority One Family at a Time,” which reveals how Chuck Schumer built his political persona around the life of a fictional Long Island couple in a circa 1980’s series called “The Baileys.”

All Americans (and even a Democrat or two) should have recognized long ago that Chuck Schumer is a blatant phony even before his infamous recent ‘I’m just a regular middle class guy grilling some cheeseburgers’ photo op.
No wonder that Southeners keep seeing the smart New Yorkers fleeing the state and moving to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

Chuck Shumer sucks, and no Democrat under 70 years old likes him even a little bit. He's completely out of touch with the party. But by all means, paint him as the face of the party.

but his ability to connect with voters went by the wayside a long time ago. He gets that appointment by being the most experienced most senior Dem Senator, and it kinda sucks. I want to stab my brain with Qtips when I hear him talk.
