Well Nealon from Yonkers, I'm not privvy to that level of financial info but if you are gonna play at a high level and be any sort of factor, you make it a priority and either raise, borrow, or reappropriate the capital.

I’m just suggesting that maybe we don’t realistically have the capabilities to play the portal game year in and year out for top talent. Thus we focus on high school recruiting which gives us a chance at top talent with a discounted price and hope there is loyalty when they become available for free agency.

Clemson should have unlimited NIL money if they were using IPTAY as designed. $80 million this year. Where is it all going?

$11.5 million to Dabo alone. FB staff all-in is probably $20 to $25 million. And that's just football. Have to pay coaching staffs and scholarships for all the other sports offered at Clemson. Plus travel and operational costs for all our sports (it's not cheap to charter flights and hotels for 100+ person football team and staff, and multiple trips to California each year for our other sports for the new ACC members). Plus debt payments on all those construction projects we built over the last few years. Doesn't leave much for NIL payments. 247 (link below) has us spending around $15 mil per year on NIL for football. And most of that is funded separately from IPTAY through the NIL collective.
