Yours are the comments I have been expecting to see. Funny, but lacking any merit. I think it's SEC or Bust on this one. No true benefits elsewhere - SEC puts us in major competitive markets for most of the sports we hold dear.

I certainly like the more regional flare of the SEC. At least they have basically stayed in the Southeast. The other conferences are spread all over which makes it harder to be a fan and go to games. In the SEC 3/4ths of the teams if not more are within a reasonable day's drive.

In spite of your dislike of the SEC for whatever reason I think joining the SEC would be the best for fans and players alike. 10 of the 14 teams currently in the SEC are within an easy day's drive of Clemson. 1/4 of the teams are an easy day trip to and from. There is more than just football that will be considered and travel is a huge part of that.
Joining any of the others puts Clemson in exactly the same pool of crap if not worse than we have in the ACC. Schools spread out all over the country with kids from all sports on constant long-haul travel Plus their community and culture is very unlike ours.
