after Goodwin is gone. Don't know much about him.

Would he be a good hire?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Why would he move from SEC to ACC?

Obviously, I think Clemson is an upgrade over anywhere but i'm a tad biased.

Potential one year gig with Cristobal versus a tenured HOF'er? Our foundation here is exquisite in the larger landscape.

His defense just got slaughtered by Ohio State. Maybe go after Penn States DC???

Giving up 42 to O31-0 State is not good for the resumé but who knows? Kevin Steele's career survived giving up 70 to WV.

I'm hoping for Jim Leonhard after Denver is finished.

Chucktowntiger1992. When did Tennessee give up 70 points to South Carolina in football? Are you talking about 2022 when Tennessee gave up 63 points to South Carolina?

I don't really know much about Tennessee or Coach Banks. Wasn't impressed with Tennessee's regular season scores this year in SEC, & of course, in the CFP game. Not sure we'll get anything close to Coach Venables again. Dabo picked him up from Oklahoma because of special circumstances going on at the OK staff, where Coach Venables was basically demoted to Co-Defensive Coordinator.

Of course, Coach Dabo was able to lure Coach Garrett Riley to Clemson a couple of years ago. Hope he is able to find someone of similar caliber !

absolute mess that is college football right now. Unless you don't HAVE a jobs, and have to have one. But, if you are in that situation, you are probably not somebody Clemson should be wanting anyway.

Ohio State’s offense would slaughter anyone when it’s clicking. Look at what they did to Tennessee and Oregon

Seems like just about everyone has forgotten about that when singling out games.

I don't remember being impressed by their defense any time I put a Tenn game on. (Granted those were only their big games) seemed alot like what Goodwin did, not very aggressive, bend but don't break style.

Please get someone tough and demanding who emphasizes fundamentals and instills discipline and accountability. Our great defenses were due to Venable’s toughness. Need more of that.
