Heard WES playing Man D was not best plan for Spellers running..

But hadn’t done much of the Zone D this year so stayed with Man coverage which turns the Defender’s body more and allows the QB to take off..

Especially without a Spy on him.

Sellers runs a sub 4.4. 40. Hard to stop that.

No way he runs sub 4.4. I would say high 4.4-4.5. That is still fast but not elite speed.

His advantage isn't his speed - it's his eyes, quick twitch and ability to change direction. He's an incredible runner.

I didnt hear that. But if true,.that's mind boggling. First, you are FCS level team.and you cant play some zone effectively? And bc of that, you run something that puts tacklers at a disadvantage verse possibly.the best, ahtletic,.running threat you face all.year?

I poasted about it earlier.

Remember Wes came in and said he was going to simplify the D? That’s what he did. He runs a ton of man. Problem is… sometimes you need to run zone. He simplified the D to the detriment of functionality.
