Had 3 on left. This will be number 4 on right.
At 60, I’m beginning to seriously doubt if I will ever pitch in the majors.
Probably can still pass better than LaNorris Sellers though.

Wish you well and a speedy recovery. Have always heard that was one of the roughest surgeries as far as rehab! Guessing you are a “pro” at that though with that many surgeries! Let us know how it goes!

Ha. Actually on number 3 surgeon. John Paylor at Piedmont Ortho did the first 3. Good surgeon. Got about 10 years out of those. Matt Robertson with Blue Ridge did 4 and 5. He passed last year. Super good guy. Erik Johnson at Carolina Ortho did number 6 last year. Had good results. He’s doing number 7 today.

How do you keep reinjuring your shoulders? The repair shouldn’t just “wear off”.

Good luck, Dr Paylor did my right one about 15 years ago and it works well. A guy at Steadman Hawkins did my left six years ago and I’m going blank on his name.

I clearly have torn/damaged my rotator cuff in my right shoulder years ago from repeatedly throwing a tennis ball as hard as I could to our dog at the lake. Is the surgery worth it? The only time it bothers me is when I throw the football. If you have gone that's many times I would think no. How do you keep damaging them? Power lifting!?

I played sports into college. Then started lifting heavy weights and became a weekend warrior. Gave up the heavy weights over 20 years ago. But once you get one, and you’re still active, you’ll get about 10 years. Always put off surgery until you have to have it. I would recommend looking into stem cell first. Insurance won’t cover it and it’s about $3k a shoulder, but results look promising. Thomas Davis swears by it.

Hopefully this will be the last for you. I was fixing to complain about having 2 wisdom teeth pulled first thing this morning. But nah, shoulder surgery sounds much worse.

I’m 2 months into a rotator cuff repair and still struggling. The post op from hour 18-about 54 are 36 hours I would like to never repeat.
Good luck, sounds like you are a pro at this.

Best of luck with the surgery. I have had problems for years in mine and my doctor said it was from calcium build-up in the joints. I have been holding off having anything done by taking chondroiden (Move Free) which seem to help ..... probably not effective for some folks .... or maybe it is just a placebo ..... but it helps me.
