Need some advice for the Wake game.

3:30 kickoff.

We'll be arriving early. Parking at First Baptist Parking lot. Spaces are sold on first come first served basis. Lot opens at 8:00 AM, so we will get there at 8 or shortly thereafter to make sure we get a spot.

What should be do while we're waiting on dropping in on tailgate spots. We had a blast tailgating with some of y'all last year. Would love to be invited back again this year. And, those of you we didn't meet, give us some directions and we'll try and drop in.

I'm thinking we'll just walk through downtown and drink a cup of coffee (or two or three....) while waiting on tailgating.

We had a great time last year. Clemson fans in general were great, and the T-netters we met were even better than that.

Beat Cuse tomorrow. (I'll be watching.) And see you on the 7th.

Bret,

Weather looks great and sure you'll have a good time.

Now that emotions have calmed down from last Saturday, when are you going to share your thoughts about the game? Don't worry about hurting feelings, nobody else on here does...

I shared them a little bit yesterday.

During the game I was thinking FSU could still win it, but expecting Clemson to win. Clemson, for 60 minutes, was the better team on the field.

However, Jordan Travis with the hurt shoulder had a negative impact on our running game. And, our passing game relied on Clemson playing 1-1 with out two best receivers all day.

I'm still high on Clemson. I don't think anyone else will beat them during the regular season. Klubnik is getting better and more comfortable every week. Brown looks like a keeper in the slot. Still a slim, very slim, chance there could be a rematch in Charlotte.

Head to Bowman Field to check out the Homecoming floats

Go to Tillman Hall (now called Old Main) and look at some of the statues there and memorials to Clemson alum and servicepeople. Bowman Field, in front of the building, is where the cadet corps used to drill, but since that game is Homecoming it will be filled with homecoming floats that should be done by the time you're there. Always fun to check out. From there, head downtown, and at the crossing from Bowman Field into downtown, there's a statue there honoring Clemson's old cadet corps and alumni who served.

At some point head to East Campus (the stadium is on West Campus, for reference) to the '55 Exchange and get some fresh Clemson ice cream. Good stuff. Check out the amphitheater in the middle of campus on the way. Tigerband frequently plays in the amphitheater before the game, but I don't know what time. Maybe someone can help him with that.

Check out the memorial area in front of the stadium, too, where there's a memorial to all the Clemson alum who have lost their lives in the service of our country.

Thanks, that's the kind of info I'm looking for.

Last year, we walked around campus and saw some of those sights. I was in Clemson the summer of 92. Wanted to see how much it had changed. Big difference from 92 to 22.

Thanks for all of those suggestions. What are some good restaurant options downtown for eating on game days?
