McMaster's Statement

He had one large "if" ..... if the rise in Covid-19 cases continues. You guys on here that subscribe to the Trumpian theory that this is a hoax had better abandon that BS right now and get on board with mask wearing, social distancing and staying the heck away from bars and indoor dining at restaurants, or you will have to accept the fact that you helped kill 2020 college football in this state.

Of course, but that does not alter the situation today.

But, I am sure some rioters could use your Karenesque advice and reprimand.

Can the governor decree no football? Some kind of executive order? How might he enforce that? Withhold state funds from the universities?
I would probably respect each individuals right to choose. Apparently that is no longer popular and it has become acceptable to let the government tell citizens how to behave.

Nothing wrong with people having a choice. I choose a mask, keeping my distance and minimizing my public trips. If others choose not to follow what I do then they have that right until it moves over into my space, then I have a right to tell them so!

I cheer all of you the right to choose. The point that I tried to make seems to have gone unnoticed. If you choose to ignore science here, don't moan and groan when the season gets cancelled.

You have a right to tell people to get out of your space? How does that work. And do you make a citizens arrest if they dont comply? So many questions.
But Hay, I say go for it.

I said back in April (or so) there would never be football or other sports - this year - or maybe next year & beyond. It doesn't fit the hysterical narrative. The 1st part is meant to destroy Trump & get him the heck out of office. The larger part is the power grab by the Socialist/Marxist faction. They want it all - complete control over all facets of everyone's lives. Schools that indoctrinate, media that's just a propaganda arm of the power elite, erasing of history, which businesses are "essential," etc. The country gets "made over" from A-Z. This has been the playbook for every socialist, communist, fascist, totalitarian regime forever. True whether the USSR, Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, Fascist Italy, Communist China, Communist Cuba, the pathetic mess in Venezuela. The outcome is the same whether the leaders wear uniforms, suits or clerical robes.
Why, for the first time ever, are we cowering in our homes (and everywhere) over a virus? We've NEVER done that before. Not with polio, small pox, HIV, world wars, the deadliest seasonal flu(s). We've never surrendered, wrecked our economies worldwide and given up all freedom. We have THIS time because we've been whipped into irrational panic over Covid. So far, over 130,000 Americans have allegedly died from Covid (but that includes those with terminal cancer - and others - with end-stage diseases that just happen to have Covid too). Even IF the number is 130,000+, we'd have to lose 27 TIMES that many to kill off even 1% of the population. That would surely be terrible, and 130K+ is terrible too. But so is losing 650,000 to cancer & 600,000 to heart disease (every year in the U.S.); but even then, we don't shut down the world and surrender everything. We go on in the face of it - always have. In SC so far, we've lost around 750 to Covid. We would have to lose 68 times that many to knock off 1% of SC's population. Bad? Yes. But shutting down the economies of SC, America, the WORLD will kill, cripple and ruin lives in the 100s of millions.
The mortality rate is incredibly low - like .003 of one percent. Of the 130K+ lives lost to date, only about 3% of those are 44 or younger. Still, some 55% of deaths are age 75+ with major health problems.
We've always had plagues, viruses, terrible diseases and wars - but we've never just stopped, surrendered and said, "Here - you politicians and bureaucrats take over and tell us what to do. We give up. We're at a loss and we're scared to death." Those who want to brutally rule us and profit from it all - HOPE we do just that.
What's truly catastrophic about Covid are the colossal numbers of people who will suffer or die from poverty, hunger, job loss, suicide, depression, lifetimes of saving and working, educational deprivation, and huge increases in crime.
A few will be sitting pretty. The Tim Cooks, Jack Dorceys, Zuckerbergs, Bill Gates, politicians (Dems & Repubs), lifetime judges, lifetime bureaucrats like Fauci. Those who will tell us daily what we can and can't do, where we can work, what we can say, read, watch and think.
Do you really want football and other sports - playing in stadiums and arenas - with NO fans?? Not me. Not ever.
Since this post goes against the Covid narrative, I expect it to be removed quickly. It's happened to me - right here - before. Tigernet mods want no part in Covid narrative dissent.

Saw POTUS wearing a mask today . The hardliners may follow , now that there's an indication that he has gotten onboard . Believe he said he thought it made him look like the Lone Ranger . That's not fake news btw.
