He can’t go to USuCk after this mess and he doesn’t know if and when coaches turnover and who you’d end up with. Hoping he’s a Tiger, of the Clemson sort.

If he doesn’t choose Clemson it’s very clear he was coot fan all along. I mean you obviously can’t go to a USuCk right now with the situation their in. So just have to choose anyone but Clemson. Hope be always knew it was Clemson but wanted to do the recruiting thing.

Hasn't he been to Clemson a bunch of times?

Not sure he needed to take an official. Maybe he took officials to other schools just to see what else was out there. Not too concerned one way or other but don't think his lack of an official visit is a big deal, especially when he was at the cookout.

besides, who is to say that he hasn't been to Clemson numerous times as a young man? Could be a silent commit and wanted to use his OV to visit schools a little further down the road. Who wouldn't want to be a part of what is going on at Clemson?

From what I hear he plans an official to SC for the Clemson game. That will mean out of his top 5 Clemson will be the only school without an OV. I think the handwriting is on the wall here.

Well maybe or maybe not, but with no official and not attending a game during the season, it's sounding more like a maybe not going to be a highly respected Clemson man. He may need an introduction ant where he goes for the rest of his life, and we know that a Clemson man never needs an introduction!!!

to the spring game either.
He did come to the All In cookout, though. Weird recruitment. Usually you say, follow the visits, but I think Burch is just different. We've still got a good chance, I believe.

If he was interested in Clemson, he would have come to games unofficially. We're right down the road. Never say never especially with Dabo and crew, but there's good indicators here.

Maybe he is afraid if Dabo gets his mom on campus. After all, Dabo is the best Closer in college football! I thought he would have wanted to go to school where family could watch him play easily. I wonder if he has family in LA?

Mom went to the cookout as well

and according to some accounts, she really enjoyed herself and helped her to find a comfort level with Dabo and the staff.
I have long been in favor of the cookout being one of our primary recruiting tools, but after hearing directly from a former coot player who accompanied a current Tiger to the cookout and his official visit that he is glad that his "godson" choose Clemson over all of his offers including bama, auburn, uga, tenn, vatech, etc...
Burch has been to games unofficially, hates the hoopla that is recruiting, and I believe that he wants to make his commitment not so much on the hype of being sought after, but really on where he can be happy when the lights are off and the work is being done. For those reasons, I believe that Clemson is his choice because it is thought that he would prefer to be closer to home but is open to going out of state if in state just doesn't cut it. I also believe that he will take visit the weekend of Dec 12th, whether it be official or unofficial, that probably won't matter to him...

If he commits to Clemson obviously he is a legit 5 star difference maker.
If he commits to LSU obviously overrated. At least the coots missed.
Either way this Geaux Tiger thing needs to be squashed once and for all Jan 13th, 2020 in New Orleans. They are really getting annoying already.

I don't know where he's going to go, but I personally do think he's overrated. I've seen him play in person a couple times, and he's not the completely dominating force that most 5 star defensive ends are. I don't think it's a talent issue really, but he plays in the weakest division of high school football in South Carolina (and South Carolina football has taken a step back in general). He's going up against 160 pound offensive linemen weekly. He also refused to do camps and had no interest in transferring to schools like IMG, and seems to lack some energy and drive to finish plays. He could end up really good. Recruiting services like him purely because he has the size and shows a good first step (mainly on the basketball court). I'm much more interested where Flowe is going, as he's the best uncommitted 5 star remaining.

Burch could be a great commit, but
Nov 18, 2019, 5:13 PM
|
|
After watching Jordan play is a few games this year, he needs some serious coaching. The talent is there but the technique and desire seem to be missing. When he gets to the D 1 Level, he will be going against bigger, stronger and faster players that will be better than him initially.
Where ever he decides to attend college and play football, Jordan must understand that playing time will come with results. Much like the real world.

XT was a top 5 recruit and the top DE and yet Dabo himself said that he was very raw and was in need of serious coaching. I’m not saying I agree the posters assessment of Burch, I don’t have enough info to argue that either way. I am saying you can’t make an argument based on his recruiting ranking.

Well who's to say why he took all those other visits ? Maybe he wanted to travel and see some things , perhaps knowing all along that he'd be a Clemson Tiger when the time came to make his call . The Dabo rule of not taking other visits after you're committed could apply here , he withheld his urge to commit to Clemson to see other places while honoring the code . Who knows ? He's a great talent . I feel like he's Clemson's to lose . Just a feeling I guess .

WADR some of you are dumb as a bag of hammers. You take one variable (out of dozens of variables of unknown importance), isolate it and judge an outcome. A reasonable person would simply wait for the answer instead of forming a conclusion which has no basis meaning stating a wild #### guess as fact

I don't think that you can come close to saying that Burch is a "hey look at me" type of guy. They reason that there has been so much speculation about his recruitment has been because he has been so quiet. Announcing on a day that umpteen other players will be announcing doesn't lead to that conclusion either.
I would question whether he has decided yet. He very well may have set that date because of wanting decide for the early signing period and still needs time to review things. Everybody loves when a draft eligible player says that they are concentrating on their season and haven't made a decision yet. Why do so many consider it a problem that a kid waits to commit? Maybe his main concern has been on the football that he is playing now.

I admire this young man . He likes privacy. Today's world of social media and plain old nosey @$$ people. I think from day one he knew where he wants to go. Used and took his time about the process. He has to live with his decision. We were sad when we lost Kmdieche and Gary . We didn't miss out, they missed out . So if he chooses another program , time will tell . I hope he makes the right choice for himself. We don't need any more Feaster choices.

Finished at Hammond Academy in '79. Don't believe the competition in the SC Idependent Schools private schools has risen much since my graduation. These are the kind of schools that have 150lb linemen. Yes Burch has been to many camps and is compatible with those athletes, but his comp on game nights is PATHETIC. Yes I'd like to get him, but more interested in the #1 LB Lowe!!!

Isn't it a Dabo rule that official visits must be to home games? If so, we have no home games left and seem to be out of the picture.
Another thought: Maybe he's using the USCe game to see both teams (or just stealthily see Clemson). This is my final thread of a hope.
