...but the conversation and an attempt to change the dynamic in Argentina is welcomed by most in Argentina.

Milei may not be the most elegant vessel to attempt to change the longstanding rot in Argentine politics, but what has been going on in Argentina for decades is absolutely not working.

The poor remain poor, the middle class is getting crushed and increasingly the upper class park their money in the US where it is safe from the unbelievable inflation.

Politicians run on giving away things to the poor and have crushed the country.

I have spent months in Argentina in the last 20+ years speaking to folks from all walks of life and it IS criminal what has taken place there.

At this point though, I don't know if Argentina can be fixed, but the status quo of robbing the few Peters to pay the many Pauls has about run its course. There aren't enough Pedros left to make things work.

It is perfectly understandable why Milei was elected and I hope he can help.
