Someone needs to tell ESPN that Tajh is not

an "elite QB..." The OB promos keep hyping the elite QB matchup between Boyd and Miller. Guess they don't read T-Net and still think he's good.
GO TIGERS!!

Are there people saying he's not good? Or are you extrapolating this from very valid critiques of his limitations?

Well I'm certainly not a Coot and don't think Tajh is "elite." That word gets thrown around way too often.
Winston is the one "elite" QB in college football this year. Johnny is up there, too.
I tend to sympathize with the view that Tajh's great stats ARE, in fact, a product of Morris' system plus the poor competition we play. But that's just the stat side of things.
In terms of leadership and value added to the program, his contributions are unquestioned.

Mariota belongs on that list if healthy, IMO

Unfortunately, he didn't seem to be close to 100% for most of the season.

He is never health because of the system

Strangely, while Boyd is far from the ideal athlete to have in a running QB system; he is ideal in terms of durability.

Tajh can be only as good as the O line he has protecting him and giving him time to make a play. If Tajh could have had the time Shaw had without being harassed, he could and would have picked the coots completely apart. If Tajh would have had wings, he could have gotten away from players like Clowney, Sutton, Dixon, and Quarles that were after Tajh every snap. And that's not counting LBs an safeties that were after him also. Teams send everything they have after Tajh because they know that it's the only way to keep the ball out of our elite receivers hands. And without a better than average O line, it won't matter who our QB is, it will be the very same results. Bad for us, but true. I do think that our O line is capable but, they have to give 110% on every snap. And that is going to be very hard to do without equal to starter depth. I don't think that we are there yet b/c we haven't gotten there in recruiting of the O line yet. I would have loved to have seen Tajh behind a great O line with great depth. Can you imagine Tajh behind the same O line that Homer Jordan had. He would have been unstoppable. Tajh, Nuk, and Sammy would have been in the heisman talk. Look where Winston went with a great O line, plus an equally good defense. Can Clemson get there, why not!!! Morris, Brent, Dabo, and the rest of our staff should get after the best of the best O linemen and stay after them. The receivers and QB's are coming. Now get after the elite O linemen and D linemen and Clemson can make it to the Championship game also.

Taj will play in the NFL. That makes him elite.
