And was the PRIMARY cause for Clemson's 2-year decline from greatness to just very good. Everyone thought he would recover from his disastrously bad UGA entrée to improve but his 286 Processor Speed and bricks for wheels slowly destroyed the entire team from within.
Kudos to Dabo and the team for being stand up guys and attempting to prop him up, but bottom line he was the true definition of Bust. Likely is a good kid at heart, but he will likely be just serviceable for Oregon State.
There is something different in the aura this team is casting and the gift we have given UGA for the last two holiday seasons is over. Dabo and company are going to put a huge lump of coal in Kurdbeez stocking this year. Mark it down.

TP was a good athlete but very raw out HS. Good to see his progression. DJ was polished but caught the yips so there was a regression

Agreed. It is hard not to cheer for a kid like TP. He gave it a go at Clemson and it did not work out, but I never remember him complaining or causing issues. Kids like him I can get behind.

two "lost" seasons now. What the program has to do is reestablish the momentum that was generated from 2015 through 2020. Contend for, and WIN National Championships again. The talent, and the coaching is in place to do both. The Albatross has left the building.

As someone that spent most of my career in management, I disagree somewhat. Not on the lack of talent, but on the placement of responsibilty. Much like a new hire that fails to produce, the responsibilty goes to management. You hired them, you trained them and you retained them. Now, look at the issue from that standpoint. Even if the argument is that he was the best available, that still goes back to management. Admit the mistake, correct it and move on. There is no room for senimentality in a 12-game season. I'm a huge Dabo fan, but this situation exposed his strength/weakness in that he didn't want to give up on this young man.

I sort of wandered if he did give up and perma bench him, if there would be a price to pay. He did come to play here from the other side of the country and his dad is a loud mouth diva. It never made since, especially last year when you had a Klubnick on the roster. I would love to know the truth.

The coaching staff wouldn’t say it publicly, but Cade couldn’t stop throwing int’s in practice last year.
Not every QB comes game ready like DW4 or TL16.

I’m sorry I think you r wrong. From all that was done for the kid. He showed us that ahead job and being a 3 star lemon didn’t make him a qualified QB at Clemson

What you’re saying is great and 100% true and my opinion also. But aren’t you one of the ones that guys that would demonize others that were saying this as far back as 2021? I could be wrong, if I am, I apologize. I’ve been saying that this man is the SOLE reason, well maybe 90% the reason Clemson took a step backwards. His presence, or lack there of, seemed to rot the team’s soul. He was a cancer. Not his attitude, his play and lack of personality and leadership. Oregon State will be a very interesting watch this season.

I disagree, DJ didn't have nearly the weapons Watson and Lawerance had, he had incompetent play callers that didn't work towards his strengths He wasn't Watson or Lawerance but he isn't as bad as clemson made him look.
Watch out for a big year from him in the pac 12

Touchdown Jesus. And Amari Rodgers and Cornell Powell just got ##### worn slap out catching his passes up there.
Friendly wager: Sam Hartman won't come within 50 yards in any one game this year of DJU's Total Passing Yards at ND.
Note: it's hard to look good throwing to Frank Ladson, Ajou Ajou, EJ Williams, Brannon Spector, and a permanently disabled Joseph Ngata.

I would say that DJ, our WRs, and coaching all worked together flawlessly in preventing the others from performing at their best.

DJ just didn't fit our system well imo. He has the arm and the talent to be great. He threw for over 400 yards in 2 games. He was amazing in high school. He just lost his conference.

Championship caliber defense on 2021 that would have enabled us to win the natty if we simply had a below average offense rather than a record breaking bad offense. Could almost say the same for 2022. Dabo stuck with him too long last year, costing us the South Carolina game. He had no other options in 2021.
We had sub par offensive coordinator in both those years as well, but even that could have been overcome with just an average qb.
I rarely turned on the tv on Saturdays and saw a qb as nervous, jittery, inaccurate, and mistake prone as DJU.
