I love Carter's spirit and he seems to have all the right things to say, but his tackling has become a serious issue. It was pretty bad last year, which was the biggest reason why he didn't turn pro. He had an overwhelming large amount of tape of bad tackling, which he knew would have hurt draft stock despite his immense talent. His games vs Duke and UNC were particularly bad, but the one vs SCar was maybe as bad as I've ever seen. He bounced back with a great game vs Kentucky, then in the UGA game he hits us with another 25 tackling rating with a 50% missed tackle rate. He's got to start walking the walk to back up the talk.

I want to see what Sammy has let him play good bit this week!! Might help to put some ppl on the bench for a little while, maybe be a wake up call!

He is tremendous athlete and his highlights are really impressive. His athleticism can often cover up the fact that his fundamentals are below average often and sometimes poor.
The preseason All American hype is mostly based on the highlights and physical measurables.
He is not without shortcomings but he would still start on probably 129 of the 132 D1 teams

He underperforms most of the time. If only we had a LB coach to push him to his maximum performance level. Oh yeah, he’s in Oklahoma.
