What do they look like on offense and defense? I don't think that I've ever watched one of their football games in my life.

I watched the Syracuse game last weekend. Neither team looked all that great. Average execution. Darn thing is, that doesn't say much about whether Stanford is good or bad. The Syracuse QB looked pretty good, but other than that, I couldn't say. IF Clemson can shut down that one receiver (last name starts with an 'A'), then I think Clemson wins easily, if Clemson plays competently like they have the last two games.

He was the guy who took Travis Hunter to the woodshed last year. Nice player.

They were hot and cold. Very streaky on offense. One very good receiver.
Average, at best, on defense.
Sane plan as NCSU. Come out firing on all cylinders, open play book, shut due. Their one receiver, and we win handily.

Just hope we don't slap an 80 spot on them...they do have a good WR and the QB I'd OK...nothing else really stood out...did not take much to beat cuse but it was all they had!

I haven't seen much, but I think they're better than people give 'em credit for. They just beat Syracuse at home in that "deafening" environment lol, but I thought the Orange was going to walk all over 'em. So either Syracuse is worse than I thought or Stanford is better than I thought, I don't know. Haven't watched enough of either team to say for sure. That doesn't answer your question, but thats my unsolicited opinion.

They're better than I thought they would be.
They are a well-disciplined and fundamentally sound football team.
Not nearly as good as a David Shaw coached team of the past but they can build on what they have.
Do they present a challenge to Clemson ? No
But we can't afford turnovers or poor execution
If that happens they are fully capable of hanging around
We should be solid 14 point favorites
Not sure we cover the 22 point spread

Watching pieces of their games, I completely agree with your assessment. They play hard, and sound gap integrity.
They lack depth. They'll probably end up with a good acc record. Will try to eat clock and keep our offense off the field. Let's hope weather moves out, as thar could be an equalizer. Well coached but as you said, we're crisp and block, we'll score most drives.

On the defensive side, they need more trombones . . .

they have a QB that cannot place the ball. so every offensive possession is painful and amateur to watch they appeared to have a decent ACC defense

I watched nearly their whole game against Syracuse. They are not a bad team. Doubt the 20 point odds. They have a stout OL and DL. Their QB is more than average. We generally play a little slack in the first half of our homecoming games for some reason. We slack off on this team and it will be a tough win in my opinion.

Their D and O lines are pretty good (not great). I doubt they can cover our WRs.
