Sitting out a year has proven to kill careers, look at Levion Bell, most dominant RB in the league, held out a year to get paid and then was out the league a year later. The browns were 5-1 with him last year but their offense was significantly better with Joe Flacco coming off his sofa.

He looks like a zombie out there, doesn’t seem to care or be engaged at all. Missing wide open receivers, with plenty of time to throw. The starting OTs won’t make a difference, this isn’t college, they are pros. The RB won’t make a difference, Chubb was out last year when Flacco balled out. Every back up has thrived behind Dw4 in Cleveland when he’s been out. He’s terrible dude, going to go down as the worst trade in sports history. It will be studied in sport’s economics classes for years to come. I wish he could turn it around but can’t argue with what the facts and out eyes tell us.

As much as I hate to say it I don’t think it was the fact he sat out a year. Just don’t think he is interested in football. Every Instagram post is on vacation in another country. Then I don’t think he sexually assaulted anyone but he was definitely paying to play. Sometimes money changes people. Still will always be my favorite Clemson player.

Flaco was a bust, he came in like every other quarterback in that situation does he comes in light it up and And then once he settles in, he puts wrapping paper on the ball and starts throwing numerous interception after interception crucial moments!

of 2 tackles, the OL was pathetic. They could not pick up changes at the line well at all. Receivers didn't help out by breaking off routes or blocking worth a crap. There was not much of a running game and DW4 barely reached drop back position from the shotgun position. I would concede that DW4 was not playing superb but that was definitely a team loss-not a horrific performance by the QB.

Brown's had to to release or trade multiple players to make the salary cap work to get DW4. It was a forgone conclusion that his supporting cast would not be that strong. If his play does not improve it will simply guarantee multiple years of losing in Cleveland. The deal made no sesnse to most observers due to all the baggage. The Browns have a long history of bad moves at QB an this will likely be one more. He's going to get paid and they will be stuck with him for the full 5 years.

They had no running game and their top 2 OTs out. That gave Dallas the opportunity to pin their ears back and just go after him. The quote from the in-game announcers put it in perspective:

Houston was running their franchise into the ground when he wanted out. Hopkins trade was the final straw. Watson wanted to win and a few years back they were rapidly regressing.

A normal person with a career, that under performed and gets fired has to get back up and earn a living. The NFL and college football are rewarding huge dollars without being earned. Flacco is old now. Give DW a chance. It's only 1 game out of 17 weeks. Too many people judge sports by one game. Just hold your horses, because no one week is like another. Look at Clemson after the Georgia thrashing. 66-20 a week later, looked like a different team. Patience my friend, patience.

Just based on his actions after leaving Clemson, Deshaun is not a likable person. There's obviously the massage stuff which is incredibly sketchy even if you don't believe he sexually assaulted anyone. He's also hung out with #### stars, sat out in Houston demanding a trade right after signing a contract extension (before he got in trouble), flaunts his money on social media, and generally just seems rather arrogant.
If he had played at any other college I doubt anyone here would have any use for him. But, because he played at Clemson, won us a title, and seemed like a generally likable and charismatic guy at the time, most people here are willing to ignore all of the things he's done since leaving Clemson.

Baker Mayfield is turning out to be a better pro QB, and was better in Cleveland too. The team he led was a gift to the city, and ownership went all in on Deshaun. Had they kept Mayfield and other core guys, they could have been a regular in the playoffs. (I know they sneaked in the backdoor last year for a drubbing by the Texans, but I mean a consistent playoff team and winner of the AFC North.)

Actually the cowboys are one of the better defenses he will see. Watson will be fine and will have the browns in position for a playoff spot. No need to over react to one game which is his first in a while and didn't play any preseason games. He will be fine.
