Seems like something is going on behind the scenes. Ever since the ACCT, the team has been flat, now we are losing players at an alarming pace. I wonder if CBB didn’t tell the team he was going to Indiana a few weeks back, only to not get the job? That would explain a lot of this, I think.

No, think it's nature of beast. Think they heard about one or two good portal players coming in especially at forward position . Indiana was talking to Coach DeVries at WV for a couple of months so Coach Brownell was never getting the job.

yes we made fools of ourselves thinking Indiana was considering Brad, maybe for towel boy, but as a coach, come on people. Once more, no school in 15 years has approached him and there is a reason for it. wake up and come back to reality.

If I'm not mistaken the portal just re-opened so players still in the Dance are technically not able to speak with new teams due to tampering. So some 'bubble' players may be trying to get in before the masses (and theoretically better players).
Not sure on the locker room aspect.

gets consistently and the type BB gets, then you havent followed bball very closely. Duke replaces these guys with 5 stars out of HS and former 5 stars off of other teams. We get Duke and other blue blood leftovers with the occasional hit like JZ and JG.

with all we are losing to transfer and graduation we will be putting a lot of our eggs in the portal basket. Are we to a point as a program where we can handle this attrition (4 starters, 3 depth transfers) like the big boys and not only replace starters but quality depth yr in and yr out.

For all I know, Brownell didn't work hard to keep Wiggins. Things are crazy now with transfers. It's all about the net difference after the dust settles. Brownell may actually want the room for new guys. IDK

Not me. Only a few great MBB hires ever due to the underperforming Clemson leadership. Barnes Foster and Ellis come to mind. They ran off Ellis after a down year but have kept underperforming Brad for 15 years. Politics my friend. Brad the brown noser will last forever.

That would be equivalent to 17 football players portaling out on the first day
Now remove the players that were already leaving and add in the recruits its 3 of 12 (25%)
That would be equivalent to 21 football players portaling out on the first day
Now imagine the hand-wringing here if 17 (or 21) kids were to leave in 1 day. #### right I would wonder WTH is going on.
