As a pastor of a multiethnic church for 20 years who focused on racial reconciliation in what ended up being a predominantly white congregation(probably 60%white) that statement was one that I heard all the time!!! It was the first step for my white brothers and sisters to not go first to “we are all racist” rhetoric. When they could get past not looking to show how the other side was guilty and not just look at theirs in the context of our country’s history, true healing and reconciliation could begin.

If you study the Bible it is clear (at least to me) there was definitely a preexistence in a previous dimension/earth age preceding the free will dynamic and this age (age of the fig tree) in which we currently exist, at least for some. The Bible is quite clear there was a previous earth age and the next age or advent will be the millennial reign of Yeshua. “The earth is 6,000 years old” crowd is either very misled by false teachings or just have not studied the Bible in detail.
You are correct God could not have hated Esau unless He knew him well before his birth in this age, as the scripture is clear on. However, I do not believe the fact He hated Esau but loved Jacob means God hates all Russians (i.e. the house of Esau became Russia). Yeshua was God among us, or God in the flesh. He made it clear anyone from YHWH’s election could fail to pass through the narrow gates, and conversely anyone from the house of Esau or otherwise..Gentiles (any branch) could be grafted into the Vine (Yeshua). Yeshua marveled at the faith of a gentile as much as he was dismayed at the lack of faith of some of His own people.
The preexistence of Esau and Jacob does not mean we all preexisted with YHWH, and it also certainly does not mean YHWH predetermined all of our fates…in other words the scripture you cite does not preclude that we indeed have free will. The fact Esau and Jacob likely preexisted with God in a previous age/dimension does not mean we all did. We don’t know the answer to that.
I personally expect Esau was among or allied with the fallen ones for God to hate him before he existed in the flesh body? There’s ample evidence God knew at least some before He created “the foundations of the earth.” That is clearly stated. The Bible also tells us there will be many who cannot believe or accept the existence of God…the parable of the wheat and the tares and so on. That is exceedingly evident just from reading this message board. It is exceedingly tragic also.

Which holiday is more fun though. I think that's what really counts. Although, from a dogs perspective they probably hate the 4th with all of fireworks. They probably prefer the scraps on Thanksgiving.

But July 4th is a holiday for all unlike Juneteenth.
Juneteenth IS for everybody. Just because you aren't black doesn't mean you can't have an appreciation and respect for black people actually being free. A lot of black people don't like Independence Day due to the fact they were not free during that time. So it can be argued that holiday is the one that's not for everyone.

It’s not quite a celebration of freedom for all Americans but many. It was freedom from English rule really- it did not make all of us a free people within what was a freed colony. Junteenth celebrates the freedom of the some that didn’t feel or know it when our country broke free from England

There are about a hundred federal holidays and most businesses are open for most of them. Christmas, July 4th, Thanksgiving and NYD are universal, but most others are optional. Why would they close for a holiday no one knew about until ~5 years ago?

You think every group should have a separate holiday to celebrate some milestone in their history? I have no problem with the holiday itself but certain businesses close for this holiday but not for the other major holiday which appears to be more woke foolishness. Especially when very few actually spend the day reflecting or celebrating the significance.

So, on September 22, 1862 when President Lincoln made the emancipation proclamation in Pennsylvania freeing the slaves, it took until June 19th of the following year for the news to travel to Texas. I guess no internet or TV in 1862, who knew. I guess President Biden decided we needed to have a national holiday to celebrate how slow news traveled in 1862.

I’ve been a white woman for 60 years and I’ve never felt discriminated against. Do I think some white men feel entitled just because they are white men?? Yep sure do. I’d like to smack them all around. It’s pukey. I feel like I haven’t shown much discrimination against African-Americans in my 60 years. We all have our moments sometimes. But if I’m being honest and I am, I’ve had some not so nice thoughts at times regarding Hispanics and Asians who are here and not speaking English in public. I know it’s not nice and I try to do better.
As far as Juneteenth I have no issues with minorities and anyone else who wants to celebrate days that are important to them. It’s not hurting me. Same with celebrating Pride month in June.

Totally agree. Look at the prison population which group is over represented? Or the sentencing difference between cocaine and crack. Absolutely, white people live in such terrible conditions it is miracle how many CEOs of Fortune 500 companies are white. It is an outrage, I say an absolute outrage!
