Let me help you out as as you seem like the crossing guard in Animal House saying all is well. The coots have several wins better than any of our wins. We are limping due to injuries plus lack talent at a few positions. No one is losing their minds except you as you seem to need an echo chamber. We may beat the coots but I would not bet next week’s paycheck on it

The Coots lost to Alabama by 2, lost to LSU by 3, beat Venables by 24 at Oklahoma, beat #10 A&M by 24, beat #24 Vanderbilt by 21 at Vanderbilt, beat #24 Missouri by 4.
We’ve beaten ZERO ranked teams, struggled with inferior talent teams and got absolutely humiliated by unranked Louisville at HOME.
Am I missing something? The Coots are solidly BETTER than us. If we beat them it will be an UPSET.

7-3 USuCk is worse than 6-4 Louisville. Given that we struggled against 7-3 Pitt, we should most definitely be concerned with them.

They are a good football team. Had a chance to Beat Bama and LSU. I don't think their O is that good if we can stop Rocket from running. Their D is very solid. We need to heal up on the OL. I believe Cade can throw all over them if we open it up. Not sure Mafah will have much room to run though. Should be a great game between too really good teams.

Their D is top 10 in yards per rush. I didn't watch their game this weekend though no. Did they struggle stopping the run? They hadn't all year.

I strongly disagree. I feel we are going to win handily, although we will need to play better, and make better coaching decisions, than we have the last 3 weeks. The good news is that we have plenty of room for improvement and haven't put a complete game together yet, excluding App State.
The coots were very lucky to win Saturday, only because Mizzou decided to tackle without using arms on that last play. They have overachieved this year and we have underachieved, but it will even out in 2 weeks.

Nah bro check this out they have played 2 offenses in the top 50. Lsu and Bama. They themselves are 66 in total offense.
They have not been beating anyone with a pulse on offense. Yes they are athletic but if Clemson gets healthy they more than have a chance against SCAR, at the very least as long as Cade protects the ball(which he has done this year) Clemson won't be getting blown out in 2 weeks.
The sky is not falling, yall are buying into the ESPN narrative.

The Gamecocks have tremendously improved this year, give them credit. Are they a better team than Clemson? In talent level, NO. In coaching? YES. they are a better coached team. Will they beat Clemson at Death Valley? NO. With an 8-4 record at the end, they should be happy and go bowling. They just don't have a great Football history.

You gotta remember their ceiling is 11 wins. That's literally their best seasons ever. National championship level stuff for that program. So a 9-3 finish for them is considered like an Orange Bowl win for us. That's how drastically different the two programs are.

Need to pass protect. Coots have a good pass rush but their pass D is suspect. The safety from Soring Valley and #24 seem particularly weak. Better throw to the middle of the field.

My concern is more for Clemson. Playing like we have the last 2 weeks probably won’t get the job done. With all our injuries, we will have to have some young guys step up and play well.
I believe this will be a tight game between two pretty good teams.

Having pride in our team rooting for the win is different than looking at these two teams with an unbiased take. I eyes tell me they are the better team. They could easily be 9-1 right now.
We all know the coots pathetic history. That has zero to do with how good their D is or how solid their run game has been these past few games.
This is going to be the best D we have faced and it’s not even close. That includes UGA. If we win it’ll be an upset. Make no mistake about it.
Everyone needs to take the orange color glasses off.

Brady Cook played for Mizzou vs SCAR, he is their starter, and also a projected high round NFL prospect so you are misinformed big dog..
But speaking of backup QBs, Pitts backup just torched us for 350 + yards, thankfully we sacked him a lot but we can’t throw fake “backup QB lit you up!” stones from our very real glass house!

If I ever want a dose of unbridled or even insane optimism with an offset of Eeyore style pessimism I come to TNet.
My own thought is that it is highly unlikely that we will blow Carolina out of the water. We have played 3 teams that don't suck all season and none of them have been easy and two of them were big losses. I think it will be as uncomfortable a win as this last week was against Pitt. A squeaker of a game that has you tempted to turn off the TV every so often so you can regain your grip on reality and cool off.
So I am in the middle in between the unrealistic opinion that we will serve up a buttkicking and the equally unrealistic opinion that we not going to win. My prediction, the game will not be in hand by either team intil the last 2 minutes and even then it will not be comfortable to stay seated anywhere.
But in the meantime...on to the Citadel. Don't lose focus by looking two games ahead because that is what really kills football teams.
