Agree. I doubt they'll spend much time investigating this. The rock is irreplaceable. This, on the other hand, is equivalent to stealing chicken from the grocery store.

I'm really surprised that this is the only NC sign that has come up missing, and especially the ones out on our highways!!! This is 2019, times are very hard out in the world for a lot of folks, and there are thieves among those having a hard time making it week to week. So if there are things out in the open of any value, people's mentality is to survive, and if things like a sign is a easy get, somebody is going to get it and sell it. Those NC signs out on the road ways have lasted a lot longer than I thought they would, and only a few months was the maximum time I gave them before they come up missing!!!
We can't completely stop hard core thieves from stealing what is ours that some of us have to make sacrifices to get, and I might not can stop them from taking some of the valuable that I have, but I'm not going to make it easy for them steal, and they have no idea the absolute dangerous risk they take when they try and steal what I have bc I promise I will fire their A S S up if I catch them, and I never sleep at night, and I only sleep a few hours in the day, plus I have a big ole Rott that makes his rounds looking out the openings that I leave for him at the bottom of my blinds. If I have anything those thieves want, I hope they said goodbye to their loved ones before they left to come and steal what I own, bc if I catch them, when I call the police, I'ma tell them to bring a body bag with them when they come to investigate!!!
