The SEC ever won any national championships?
If they lose, it's because they were beat up.
So, when they win, they won't beat up on that particular year?
SEC homers don't even make a lick of sense with the beat up argument

Now that there is a playoff and the SEC has earn it instead of just being hand picked,SEC homers will be like Coots, holding onto their "streak", because it's over.

I'd put money on it that at some point or points in this season, ESPN will again coincidentally have four sec teams in the top 4. LOL

Oh yea. I Will never lose faith in that belief. They didn't do it this year because it looks bad doing it the very first year, although they tried by Slobbing on Ole #### and Pississippi State all season as they end the year with 4 Fckn loses. But you are right, they will maneuver it to be 3-4 SEC teams. Too much is at stake not. Billions in revenue bc they have the broadcasting rights and the SEC network.

No doubt in my mind.
The sec is no different than any other conference in that there is always 1 or 2 really good teams. .a handful of good teams. . And then your bottom dwellers.
The sec isn't the best because of the 1 or 2 really good teams. It is the best because it had a couple more of the good teams than most of the other conferences.
The problem is the media spin which fools the stupids. Conference homers actually start to believe the worst team in the sec could compete for the conference championship in any other league which simply isn't true.
The sec has its dumpster fires just like any other conference.
South Carolina wOuld probably have ended up with the same record last year If they Played Clemson's schedule. They just weren't very good.

"We're in the SEC" is their best(only?) recruiting tool. Take them out of that conference and the talent level would drop even further.Probably half their commits each year would be lost.

The only teams that get beat-up in the SEC are the perennial bottom feeders like SC, UK, Vandy, Ole Miss & Miss St...The big dogs like Bama, LSU, Auburn, UGA, UF & UT ---in other words, the teams that built the SEC and run the conference---seem to do just fine.
