Leading us into a situation with N. Korea. Forgive me if I am not very confident.
We can all sit back and watch another train wreck of foreign policy by this administration.

John f'n Kerry gave his LIFE's BLOOD in service to this country. *weeping* And then he we MADE him rape and murder and pillage the countryside in a manner reminiscent of 'jenjis' khan.

country and then came home and protested the mistake of Vietnam.
His mistake was being outraged about Americans committing war crimes.
All war participants commit war crimes in every war. War is war.

service as background in his political career, then it was fair game for attack.
I'm all for claiming what's obvious, he volunteered when he didn't have to. He went. He served in a combat area. Then came home and alleged stuff that HE did that others said wasn't so. In retrospect, we know that some of those things happened, because war dehumanizes even the best of us (cliche').
But, I bet you and I know people that went over there and served their entire term and might be a little resentful of his claimed purple hearts. I know a couple. One guy was a lieutenant in the 101st. He was sent into the A Shau valley, was wounded horribly, was medevaced back to Hawaii, recovered, AND THEN WAS SENT BACK TO COMPLETE HIS TOUR OF DUTY EVEN AFTER HAVING LOST ONE OF HIS (boys)! This guy got 1 (one) purple heart. One. How many did Kerry get, and not lose a single day of duty and then abbreviate his tour of duty to four months?
Kerry DID do more than was required of him, I agree. The rest of it, is nothing to boast of.

Oh Kerry, last time I checked he had a better war than Bush Jr., Cheney, Ashcroft, BOehner, McConnell, Mitt Romney, Santorum, or Newt. Oh yeah none of them except Bush, EVER SERVED A DAY IN THE MILITARY and NONE of them ever saw active duty in VIETNAM at all. We have been in a war for 10 years many of those clowns(with other nonservers like Delay and Frist) led us into. I never had confidence in ole "Mission Accomplished" (it wasn't and 9 years later still isn't) and his crew of "chickenhawks".

Gore and Kerry didn't use it to keep from going.
Now, don't get me wrong, I see nothing wrong with trying to get out of it if you were against the war, but if you are pro-Vietnam war and tried to get out of going, it's pretty lame.
