Probably. The next man up mentality is good if they prove themselves. He has yet to do that and has proven he doesn't belong.
The guys aren't coached well. Angles are bad. Same players getting PI and not looking for the ball. Poor tackling. Giving WRs too much space. Lack of energy. These are all things that are coachable.
The lack of it ALL year, even in wins, shows he isn't a great defensive coordinator.

I’m gonna take a slightly different angle. Yes we prob. need a coaching change there; but I don’t blame him one bit for accepting the promotion. When you choose not to use the portal until this week and then don’t recruit high school at an elite level, you are not doing a good service for your younger and inexperienced coordinator. We don’t have enough good players at key spots. We have some, but not enough.
But we better get more talented depth if we want to return to where we were back in 2018. BV had more to work with…

Agree on this too. Dabo did Clemson and Wes a disservice putting him in that role. It’s harder to get dudes on defense with our current approach to recruiting and NIL compared to when we had Wilkins, Ferrell, Beasley, Simmons. We get some, but nowhere near the depth, which tbf, I’m not sure any program has the depth we used to have.

He very well may be. I questioned him when he took the job and said that BV blitzed too much and he was going to cut his plays by 50%. These are my words, but his were similar. My translation to his comment was, I can't think that fast as I am only an analysis. He be able to break a game down, post or pre game, but I don't think he can call plays from the sideline. The game hasn't slowed down for him. He should step down.
