Friday night, chili and game night with some friends. A few beers were consumed.
Saturday, went to the TR farmers market Christmas thing, which was a mad house. Went to Shortfields for a late lunch. The food was good but service was quite slow. Then off to pick a a home brew recipe then to the local wrasslin' show. It was a good no great one, but some of the guys are starting to try more risky things.
Sunday, brewed beer in the rain and and some point my heat quit working. Thermostat says the heat is on but the fan isn't even running.

Friday: had our team Christmas party, came home, lazed with one of the dogs most of the evening.
Saturday: up, took off the kids old bed to Goodwill, make a trash run, came home watched Clemson vs. Memphis, cooked a pot of chili that I froze. Watched some Army/Navy and nothing else.
Sunday: watched church, watched the dogs, went grocery shopping with my daughter, cleaned out a few boxes from the house and chilled the rest of the day

I think I had some gamey shrimp at a Christmas party Thursday night because I had the squirts (not the just pee kind) most of the day Friday so loaded up on Imodium and slept
Saturday turned off the Tigers bb to remove jinx but didn’t work so helped a friend empty a storage unit and watched a couple of episodes of Cross and Spooks
Sunday usual with mom except we didn’t go for her Sunday afternoon ride because cold and damp did turn on Lady Tiger bb in time to see Poppie’s 1st ACC win

Wednesday night, finished up work for the week and headed over to the studio and hung out with the guys in the band. Traded presents (which means exchanging liquors, LOL) and then had a tasting of all said aforementioned liquors.
Thursday, had my annual Christmas shopping day with orangecadillac, a decades-long tradition. We get some stuff done, but mostly it's about hanging out with one of my pals I don't see much throughout the year. Had an absolute blast and laughed A LOT, as always. Got home around 10 pm and fell asleep with a cat in my lap.
Friday, ran some errands and got a few little chores done around the house. Headed up to Charlotte for the Southern Culture on the Skids annual December show at The Visulite with a rowdy crowd and nine party-ready Rock Hillians. My RH buddies Truckstop Preachers opened and put on a great set (but WAY tamer than a Thirsty Beaver show). We had a great time in what has become somewhat of a birthday tradition for the Mrs.
Saturday, a little more Christmas shopping, watched Army-Navy game, then back over to the studio for the annual Supper Club Christmas Party. Good turnout of around 20 life-long RH friends, grilled pork ribs and had an enormous bowl of boiled shrimp, played some LOUD rock and roll at the end of the night, and got home VERY late. It was a stellar gathering as always.
Sunday, too many late nights in a row and basically cruised through the day like a mindless zombie. Got a grocery run in and knocked out a few chores including finally setting up the Mrs. new Roku TV I got her for the bedroom as a birthday present. The old TV and Roku box no longer has the juice to play apps like Netflix and Prime, so she's been after me for most of the last year to do something about it, LOL.
All said...this was 190/19 Covids, and hopefully will do it all again next December.

Spent the weekend in the eastern Ohio/WV northern panhandle area. Phil Niekro country.
Not bad at all. In fact, in the unlikely event that you ever find yourself in Wheeling, WV check out a resort called Oglebay. It’s like a combo of Biltmore and the Grove Park Inn. They really do it up for the holidays.
Had Detroit-style pizza. Didn’t know there was such a thing. Delish.
Drove back home through WV yesterday in a wintery mix mess. Got home and had a stiff Old Fashioned. Twas much needed.
A full week of work this week, then the away kids start trickling in and we’re off to the Poconos on Boxing Day. More driving in the weather. FFS.

Friday...wife's cousin and his family came to visit. Haven't seen him in ~15 yrs...brought his significant other (don't think they're married 'cause hippies) and their 2 yo daughter. I grilled out steaks and zucchini/squash, and baked sweet taters with coconut cream pie for desert. Sat around and talked and hit the sack somewhat early while wife and cousin stayed up and talked.
Saturday...got up and made massive breakfast spread that was a big hit with the visitors. They headed out 11am, just as our BB game was starting. Tough loss, but I think our team is in decent shape...Memphis shot lights out against pretty good defense. Didn't like Hunter's decision at the end of regulation, but they played good defense on him. Watched 1st half of Army/Navy game...not sure exactly why, but that game gets me in the feels every year. Met friends that had a stop-over in Greenville for dinner at Tipsy Taco. 1st time going there and I assumed it was a crappy chain, but we were pleasantly surprised and actually had a good dinner.
Sunday...up early and went to church just me and daughter-of. Great service and a very powerful rendition of How Great Thou Art during communion. Someone was cutting onions nears our seats. Took Daughter-of to BB practice at noon and got a hair cut/head massage and did some grocery shopping. Watched women's BB get a good road win at Wake. Made Pasta Fagioli for dinner and watched last week's Yellowstone episode.
Decent weekend and pretty relaxing.

Friday came and went.
Saturday started with some delicious greenfield's bagels. Then I spent a few hours digging and pulling the largest of the remaining helene stumps out of the backyard. 4 more to go. Listened to the hoops game - poot. Showered and had wonderful dolsot bibimpap at Korean BBQ. Came home and watched Army-Navy game that I recorded earlier.
Sunday lazed around. Did some chores around the house, watched NFL, ate soup.
69 out of 69. Would turn around and so it again.

Fri - left work early and met a friend at the lake. We caught over 20 bass in about 3 hrs in a little practice for next days tourney.
Sat - My first time as captain in high school fishing. It's a terrible idea. I drive the boat around and watch two kids fish the whole day. They caught a lot of fish, but no biguns. Probably finished in top 30%.
Sun - Church in the morning. Pretty lazy around the house, MsLovin made a vegan chili for dinner that we added with non vegan cornbread and sour cream. Not TOO bad. Back to church for a Christmas play that was actually really really good.

the new Radio Room seemed nice, they played their hits and a good rendition of Scarred but Smarter, probably a 1:45 set
earlier in the day saw the Tigers unfortunately lose, too many mistakes late in the game, the last play in regulation was horrendous, must have been a Dabo play
hit up the downstairs bar at Grand Bohemian before DnC, very well appointed hotel with a great location, some tasty $20 cocktails
Sunday was horrible, either a stomach bug or food poisoning, was supposed to be prepping today for a colonoscopy but that's now delayed until March
Game week baby, Go Tigers!

Fri - meh. Something happened I’m sure.
Sat - did a lot of running around during the early afternoon. Stopped by Lowe’s grocery and had a couple beers, got growler filled up with Low Tide Brewing gatorade seltzer. That stuff is freaking delicious. Went to friends annual Christmas party sans wife, took little one as she likes to play Left Right Center. Saw some folks, good time was had.
Sun - Regular Christmas parade was last weekend, but of course Aiken has to have a horse parade. Went to that with pup and little one and watched the horses sh>it all over the streets. Took pup to brothers to let her off leash and run. Met bro, SIL, and nephew at mellow mushroom, then went next door for bingo. Won $10, nice.

Saturday was Club Day at daughter's volleyball club. Spent 3 hours there, they scrimmaged two older teams, beat the 17U, tied the 15U. She played REALLY well and she was pretty happy. Love seeing all her hard work begin to pay off. Went downtown for an overpriced dinner and a "free" drone light show. It was OK, downtown lights along the Cape Fear River are super nice.
Sunday was a lazy day. Did alot of cleaning and laundry. Took daughter and her friend to volleyball practice. Came home and ate some Panera that my wife had picked up for dinner since I wasn't home to cook for everyone. I sweater gawd, she would eat takeout for every meal if I didn't cook. Watched some of the NCAA Volleyball tourney this weekend as well.

Let's see....Friday....seems so long ago.
Continued Operation Clean-Decorate the house. Mission still in progress. During clean-up did discover a letter in a pile of junk dated October 7 that sonof's drivers license had been suspended because a speeding ticket wasn't paid. That I was assured was, in fact paid. But, he was told by me that he is not driving anywhere until this gets resolved. Long story short, the fine was paid but now have to go to DMV to reinstate the license.
Saturday - Sonof and I loaded the truck with junk that had long since outlived it's purpose (including the grill) and paid a visit to the dump. Went a bought a new grill. Nothing fancy, small Charbroil. Continued clean/decorate. I think I'll be done around Christmas Eve. And this year the decor will remain until Epiphany.
Sunday - I (emphasis on I) went to church. Wifeof got up and drove sonof to Charlotte (he works Panther home games for NFL Films) and to pick up daughter at UNCC. They shopped until the game was over and all came home. Sang in a quartet and trio at our church service. Good thing it was church. Nobody will come up to you afterwards and say, "that really sucked". I butchered my part in the quartet. Another good thing about singing in church is that the congregation doesn't know what you're trying to do. Came home from church and made split pea and ham soup. Had the ham bone in a stock pot since Saturday morning. And yes, it was fantastic. If you like split pea and ham soup.
Got suckered into watching the season(?) finale of Yellowstone. Parts OK. Parts stupid. Parts just disappointing.
Monday - Took sonof to DMV to see if we can get resolution to this DL problem. Was told he will be number 7 in line......at noon. So, we'll see.

Fri - afternoon quickie. picked up chicks, pizza night.
Sat - pics w/ Santa. went
kinda like this
at lunch, nap time.
In-laws came over, wife went to a lady frand b-day party. took chirren and inlaws to Messican then we rode around and looked at Christmas lights.
as stated in my ops review report, I legit dropped a rocks glass right on my MF'ing toe. sombich all kindsa red/blue/purple and swolt up. finally finished my book, only to realize there's one more in the series.
Sun - went to this event at Gaylord Opryland ... Ice! or something. meh. whatever...it was so crowded. lotta poors. kids had an ok time. it wasn't too long so that was ok.
what really chapped my ### tho....there was an ice skating rink outside and the lady gets on the PA that they're about to start. so I'm standing kinda off to the side w/ MIL and daughters, 2 or 3 ppl back, decent view right?
this fuckingUGA old guy squeezes in and stands right in front of us.
I looked at my MIL...I said some people just need their fuckingass beat. then I said if the world has less communists and fuckingDawg fans, it'd be such a better place.
dude turns around and was like oh were you standing here?
said nah dude, just here w/ my 3 year old daughter. your world bro, we're just living in it.
so I walked away b/c I was obviously at the point where I think most human beings need to be drug by their fuckinear lobes and beaten senseless. so me and my daughter went and checked out the reindeer lights b/c now she couldn't see the cool skater chicks which she thought were tight.
I hate people.
I'd be down to go back to that, but told in-laws next year we'll do it during the week.
did the very rare thing and picked up a happy meal. kids ate, went down.
wife and I did some lazy lovin
walked around the hood dropping off cards and Christmas bags when they woke up. cooked some burgers I got from a local farmer instead of steaks. they were purty good, might see if I can split a cow w/ some of my bros.
gym this mawn. BTC rippin. LFG.

Friday night I had a work party, it was fun but very fake and surface level.
Saturday morning I flew to Asheville. Went to a 50th wedding anniversary party for my family members. It was fake and very surface level. Hannah Flannigans for a couple of drinks but was so tired I went back to hotel and crashed in the bed so hard.
Sunday church which was awesome. Good to be back in that little country church. Lunch with my Uncle and then went to Sierra Nevada. No TV’s there so went to a place called Mudpuppies. Place had good food. Staff were a bit weird. Not fake or surface level. Good conversation with my sister and bro in law. Flew back home and got home at 0230 due to the rain and fog.
5/10 - not a good weekend overall. I don’t see myself going back down there anytime soon. People make the place not memories and all the good ones have gone to heaven. I will stick with meeting my sis and bro in law on vacation spots.

Or is it day 1? I dunno. Well, I just got out of bed about 45 minutes ago so today is about shot.
Friday night-Sat on the couch and stared at TV
Saturday-slept all day and then stared at the TV
Sunday-Went and saw Hans and the 86er's, then went and saw a bonus Hans show at Juanita Greenberg's, and got home around 11 I think.
I've been threatening to fly down to the keys this week and get an inshore charter, but let's face it..that prob won't happen because I'm lazy. If I don't do that, I might drive up to Murrell's Inlet and hang out with a buddy of mine.
I think I might take a shower now and go eat lunch at Waffle House.
