Agreed, this is the exact response I wanted to see from Dabo. The penalty was stupid and lost us the game but it shouldn't have come down to that in the first place.

Ok, I’m shocked the cult fans aren’t already on here being negative! This is a first for me! All those haters disagree but I agree with you Dabo. Terrible call! Shouldn’t even have thrown a flag and since he did I was ready to decline. But as you said and several people haven’t yet chosen to read it, we shouldn’t have been in that position.

It was a terrible and obvious call. We should have won the game. BUT, it should never come down to this when playing the level of Duke and at home( even though they are a decent team). So yes, bad, bad call . . but why did we need it at the very end?? Too many other problems.

That was my main gripe was it was essentially a Hail Mary, QB was in trouble and just throws up a prayer that doesn't even come close to a single receiver on the field and they just throw a late bailout flag. And you know how you can really tell it was a bad call? The Wr didn't even look or ask for a flag after the ball hit the ground lol. Just a complete bailout

The only person on the ground was Terrell, again...it proved everything when the WR wasn't even looking for a flag. If there was a penalty earlier in the play, then the flag should've came long before the ball hit the ground. There's been a lot worse than that on a final play. Another again, alot of whistles are swallowed on an essential hair mary/prayer on 4th and long. That wasn't worthy of a bailout penalty. No need to say anything, you're not gonna change my mind or the other 95%.

He can't drop it when the press keeps asking him questions. He is allowed to answer the questions. He is also allowed to vent on a game changing crap call that should have at worst case been a double flag or no call.
I can't believe he hasn't vented about our press running to all of our commits to ask if they are still committed. It's almost like they are putting question marks in their minds that they should reconsider.

Rule 7, section 3, article 8B
“Offensive pass interference is contact by a Team A player that interferes with a Team B player during a legal forward pass play in which the forward pass crosses the neutral zone. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OFFENSIVE PLAYER TO AVOID THE OPPONENTS. “
Rule 7, section 3, article 9G
“Each player has territorial rights, and incidental contact is ruled under “attempt to reach the pass” in rule 7-3-8. If opponents who are beyond the line collide while moving toward the pass, a foul by one or both players occurs only if intent to impede the opponent is obvious. It is pass interference only if a catchable forward pass is involved. “
Who is impeding more? The guy standing in front or the guy who pushes his opponent down? The ball was not even catchable. No super human could have caught that ball from the position the players were in.
