Good BBQ place in Rutherford/Forest City area???

I'm visiting a friend in this area today. Any suggestions for a good BBQ joint that would be open today?

Shelby isn't an option. I hear House of BBQ is good but it's in the process of re-locating. Just passed it on Main St. Rutherfordton

Agree - if you like NC style BBQ then go to Red Bridges BBQ off of US-74 in Shelby. Red's has won state and national awards for their BBQ. Just know up front that Red Bridges does not serve ribs - if you want ribs check out Red's cousin Alston Bridges BBQ off of Grover Street in Shelby (Alston's is closed on Sat and Sun).
I'm a SC native and was raised on the mustard base BBQ but have grown to love Red and Alston Bridges BBQ which has a vinegar/tomato base. Actually, I love all BBQ including that sweet Kansas stuff...

Lol well there is a Barleys here it's looking like the best option.
Question about BBQ depot - good pulled pork and ribs? What about the sauce? Beef brisket ?

There is honestly much better BBQ than Bridges. If people don't get out of Shelby/Kings Mountain much, it seems the better in that area...but one trip to Charlotte, try Midwood Smokehouse or Sauceman's and you'll see what you were missing.

Mountain View in Columbus is good from what I hear. Not too far away.
