I understand the reflex of “how can you think of football at a time like this!?”
But the Islamic extremist’s true goal is to create enough fear that they disrupt the fabric of all our lives via the optics of their heinous acts. Delaying this game hands them another minor victory.
If it’s merely about insuring safety of the players and attendees, I get it, but I would fight to get this game played today. It’s what the terrorists would hate most.

I would guess it’s more about processing and preserving the crime scene based on the announcement coming from the DAs office. A scene like that takes time to process and get through. Like a lot of time and effort. The last thing you want while you are trying to do that is 100,000+ people descending on the exact area you’re trying to process for a football game. I’m sure keeping people out of the scene and keeping it secure to work is already a nightmare without the additional crowd.100 percent the right decision to delay it.

The report was updated. The truck came through the border in November, not 2 days ago and it is a rental vehicle so it has changed hands since then.
