Georgia got a bad case of Dabo-itis last night. Sad.

They were running the ball at-will and just needed to mix in a few TE outs or slants or something every once in a while. Instead, during the entire 4th quarter, the only passes they ran were screens (except on one third and long). It just baffles the mind.

It baffles my mind too……how you (and everyone else) always have the answers after the game. The people that sit on their couch and type always know better than the coaches

I can think of a lot of times i would watch a game and say "if they keep doing this, they will lose" and they kept doing it and lost. I remember saying "Streeter needs fired, Austin needs fired, Goodwin needs fired" and everyone told me i didn't know what i was talking about....then those coaches end up fired. No I'm not a coach. But i do have common sense.

Everyone in the house knows it doesn’t taste good. I believe he is referring to the armchair chefs that have never boiled water but try to tell the chef how that steak should have been cooked.

if only Dabo had listened, we wouldn't be in this position
a coach doesn't always know best, especially when he's blinded by his false perception of how "good" his program is.

Agree Dabo would have never been hired viztiz ... Disagree Morris and Venables would not have been hired. Dabo and Napier struggled to make 1st downs. After WVA blowout loss, Clemson fans would have accepted any DC after Steele. The BV hire was brilliant! The Morris hire was also a program game changer.

Chad Morris was one year removed from high school and was a very controversial pick. Much like now they wanted a “big name”.
Venables was being demoted to co-DC to bring in Stoops’ brother after finishing 32nd and 33rd the previous seasons. No one in Norman shed a tear and there were plenty of people on here against the hire. Once again, they wanted the “big name”.
Both hires were outside the box thinking and neither name were on many lists ahead of time. Dabo’s latest hires have checked the “big name” box and fallen flat. Which is why I think our “friends and family” AD (who coincidentally started at the start of the so-called decline) shouldn’t escape scrutiny. These hire reek of the AD making suggestions that will serve redmeat to the fanbase rather than letting Dabo be Dabo. I’m not saying Dabo is be told what to do - but when it comes time to shuffle the deck chairs he needs competent advice. He can’t turn to his assistants to discuss who to fire and replace them with.
Case in point. We fire Goodwin ostensibly because he lacks the sideline intensity and motivation skills we were accustomed to in our DC. We go hire the “big name” DC who immediately retreats to the box solving none of our problems. Our scheming is now worse and they’re arguably playing with less intensity. Few have ever argued that Goodwin wasn’t a master of game plan and scheme. Why in God’s name didn’t we get a #### & vinegar sideline co-DC and send Goodwin up to the box? Because that wouldn’t have made Tyler from Spartanburg happy.

Predicting that we come down from 6 playoffs, 4 Finals, and 2 National Championships did not make you a soothsayer ffs.

I agree. They are all couch experts but wouldn’t have a clue how to call game plays if they had to. Just fire the coach in their motto.

I was so glad to see them lose and watch all the fans crying after the game. It couldn't have happened to a worse group of fans.

All of the other teams use their TE's to catch passes and block. Ours just blocks.

Wrong! Sometimes our TE’s “ATTEMPT” to Block and at times they just stand around!
