You guys need to relax. Every team has players leaving. This is the new normal. So to be ripping dabo cause some guys are leaving you need to relax.

I haven’t read where anyone is ripping Dabo for those going to the portal. In the past I’ve read concern that he doesn’t use it or believe in it. We’ll see ..

I read where they are already up to 11. So totally agree with your post. We will be fine. Plus most of ours transferring out are not major key contributors, and we’re likely going to keep getting passed up in depth chart. So it’s understandable.

Difference is Saban will use the portal to replace those players, Dabo won’t which is a problem

he is 100% a relationship guy and those relationships he builds with the players will ALWAYS be more important to him than winning. I'm not saying I completely agree with that approach. I think a "happy medium" could be maintained but, whether people like it or not, that is and will likely continue to be his approach, and I don't think you will ever hear him apologize for it.

Guys, guys, relax. We've just begun to do our scouting on a wide variety of walk-on candidates. I hear Danny Pearman has been playing hacky sack around campus looking for another punter. And also some ultimate Frisbee with a bunch of frat boys looking to add some WR depth. Once he plays a few games of flag football we'll have our guys. So chill-ax already. We're good.

David Hood’s latest article gives an excellent survey of where the Tigers stand depth wise. Things don’t look too bad if Dabo uses the portal to beef up a couple position groups.
Also, we shouldn’t discount our RB #20 Thomas. He had a season of junior college and has looked pretty capable in limited snaps this year.

Agree, rb is my least concerned group. Adam's might be OK too.. but we need a stud recruit.
Several positions we've got holes for depth. WR, and DE as well as little experience in LB room. Or should say thin. Which makes the swint departure more headscratcher.... unless he just wasn't good.

Last time I looked bama had 5 OTs in the portal including a 5 star kid we recruited.
