Not me.
DHS and FEMA both get and spend money to provide services for illegals.
I wonder how long it would take to pay off our $36 trillion debt if we started paying it off, say $100 million per day.

And a good reason it's very hopeful that the CR is getting so much pushback.
Pubs who talk like conservatives but spend like democrats is a big part of the problem.
Do you see much impetus for debt reduction on the left?

Last week you were pissed off that FEMA wasn’t giving people houses, now you’re mad about the government funding FEMA? Welcome to MAGA worldview- no solutions, just being pissed off all the time.
I’m really excited to see who gets the blame when nothing changes after Trump takes office and has Congress. My assumption is that the “deep state” will flex its muscle again when prices don’t come down, immigrants still cross the border, cities still have crime, and wars still exist.

Ok, so just another example of posting rage bait tweets with no commentary at all, then pretending like you’re just sharing news. Got it. This forum was better when LBB and Miura posted constant nonsense, at least they weren’t huge ####### and actually stood behind what they posted.

It's either... -Steal someone else's long, well-written editorial and pretending it's his. -Posting a rage Tweet that states what he actually believes.
Then he'll deflect and pretend he didn't say it, twist the conversation into points that aren't relevant, and try either personally attack or gaslight anyone who challenges him. After pretending he isn't stating what's in the OP, he'll post another one shortly after.
Dude needs a life. At least others here who agree with him actually offer some discussion.

That's disinformation from Elon. Do a little fact checking. Recommendation: Don't search the CR like I did, just google for the fact check to save yourself a lot of time. The fact check says a max increase of 3.8% in 2025 (not the 40% Leon lied about), but I'm still searching for it.

Found it with the help of factcheck.org, but like it says you have to figure out what the stricken language does. Congress passed a law in 1989 to give themselves cost of living adjustments, but have blocked it every year to look good politically. The last raise was in 2009 (language from that act is stricken in the failed CR to allow an annual COLA). Don't know how Leon cooked up 40% unless he's expecting 40% inflation under Trump.

Correction, it strikes a phrase from PL 118-83, that references a section in PL 118-47 blocking COLAs:
"Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no adjustment shall be made under section 601(a) of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 (2 U.S.C. 4501) (relating to cost of living adjustments for Members of Congress) during fiscal year 2024."
Similar phrasing has been used since to block the raise at various times since 1989. Five years under Clinton, no raise. Then they got a yearly raise under Bush, except for 2007. They haven't gotten a raise since Jan 1, 2009 when Bush was president. Ironically, Clinton and Obama are also the only presidents in my lifetime to freeze government and government contractor salaries.

The last three times Congress got a raise under a Democratic president, the budget was either balanced or we were running a surplus (Jan 1 of 1998, 2000, and 2001). Those are also the only times under a Democratic president since Carter.

The TNet lefties had no part of this, and aren't defending it. Direct your complaints to the people that wrote the bill, and stop voting for those same type of people.

There are 12 appropriations committees of the same subject areas (if not titles) in the House and Senate who are supposed to produce 12 SEPARATE spending bills every year to cover all of our Government spending.
But do we do that in any type of consistent orderly fashion throughout the year where all of our elected officials get a chance to participate/comment/read the bills as they go through committee and finally to floor votes?? NO...
Instead we have a select group of lifelong Party politicos (from both Party's) who are now more like oligarchs that go behind closed doors for weeks/months, wait until the last d.amned minute when Government funding is about to expire and throw their Frankenstein created 1500(+) page Ominibus funding bill garbage at the rest of Congress and demand an immediate vote to avoid a Government shutdown. THIS IS TOTAL BS and has been going on WAY TOO LONG. We are not meant to be Governed this way and it is time to say ENOUGH...
So I'm glad this pork filled Omnibus bill hiding as a "CR" bill was killed. I don't care if the Government "shuts down" or if all of Congress misses Christmas and New Years because of it. They didn't do their jobs after the last "CR" bill (which was only 27 pages long) and it is their fault for the predicament the country is in. They either produce another 90 day, 27 page "clean CR" or get to work on the 12 separate spending bills to have it done in a couple of weeks.

But if your pension check comes a day late, you’ll really flip out. Wait till you hear Leon and Vivek’s plans for those illogical govt and military pensions.
It wasn’t like this until Gingrich, when he introduced shutting down the government as a political weapon. It has never worked for them. Government employees go home, contractors keep working until their contracts run short of money. Eventually, Republicans give in and all the govt employees get back pay for the furlough and effectively a free vacation.
