FSU this coming season...

First off, before anyone says something, I am fully aware that there is an abundance of time before we should even begin to think about this game.
I am wondering though... I love our chances of making it to the NC again if we can just get past them in their house. I already have jitters thinking about the importance of that game. Yikesssssss

I think we should expect to win that game . We have a better offense , and if our defense is up to snuff like I believe it will be we should beat them again .

We cannot over look Auburn or Louisville!!! Auburn is as talented as any team in the nation. Lucky for us we have DW4 so we always have an advantage.

Agree but I don't believe Auburn is near the team that FSU is. Still can't overlook anybody though.
And Louisville, correct also. But we have them at home so it doesn't worry me as much.
Ugh. I shutter at the thought of the nervousness I will feel in my stomach before we play FSU.

i guess we also have an advantage in every game we will play specifically because of the loss we took in the NC. Our guys are dead set on making it again, but coming away with it all this time. I like to think that, whatever the situation, that will be their motivation to step up and take control of the games.

The 2 that played this year aren't going to cut it in Malzhan's offense.

It all henge's on how well our D fills holes. But I don't see anyone slowing down our Offense. They'll hang fifty on teams in the first half. GO TIGERS!!!

Everyone is forgetting about the coastal side, we play at G. Tech and next year the my won't have the injury bug. If we make it to the ACC championship it will be against a quality opponent. That side of the conference got major coaching upgrades. As Dabo says "winning isn't easy", let's just take it one game at a time and enjoy the Watson and Williams show. They will torch D's but upsets happen in college football. Teams play inspired ball on their home fields and turnovers can swing a game fast. Last year to see Watson, Williams, Gallmam, Legget, Scott, Boulware, Watkins, Guillermo, Tankersley! I realize a few them could stay for their senior year but odds are this will be their final ride. So let's just take it one game at a time and soak it all in.

Honestly, GT does not scare me. I guess anything could happen at their place but that is one of the games I'm least concerned about. And the only teams I see making it to the ACCCG from the coastal side are UNC or maaaaaybe Pitt? Also might throw in Miami but with their coaching change and all...just don't know.

Beating FSU at home is always a hard fight up hill.. but I think we were the last time to do this in the acc (could be wrong). Auburn is going to be a lot harder than everything thinks, this will be a good true test for the defense to open up with September 3rd. As always FSU does matter if we start loosing games before them.. Dabo has the winning mindset set for this program and I think we will see that next year. Go Tigers

I know auburn won't be easy. For whatever reason, they just don't concern me as much as FSU.
I haven't been to a spring game in a few years but I definitely will go to it this time. I want to see what our defense is looking like. I wasn't necessarily thinking Auburn in terms of our newer guys on D having to open the season there. Will be tough for sure.
However ...looking at the year Auburn had this year, I guess they just aren't as intimidating to me. I'm sure they will improve and I don't know anything about who they have returning but we shall see.
Come on college football...I need you baaaaccckkk

in 2011. We haven't won there since '06 although we have really taken it to them down there in losses. I like our chances to get out of there with a win this coming season.

FSU is very talented, but they have this problem. They run this system that is distinctly not New Player Friendly...it's a pro-style system that can be kind of clunky and is very difficult to run even at the best of times. Their offense often looked very ponderous and uneven - even when Jameis Winston was running it his final year.
FSU has two massively talented dual-threat QB's - which is odd, because Jimbo's system is a distinctly pro-style set - a redshirting freshman who was the #3 dual-threat in the country coming out of high school, and a true freshman coming in who was the #2 dual-threat. So the raw talent is there...the difficulty is, can either of these very young players make the jump to mentally grasp this very complex system well enough to unseat a very average veteran holdover in Sean Maguire?
After Maguire, the Noles have only JJ Cosentino, who looked awful under center in the bowl game when Maguire went down. Jameis is long gone, even Everett Gholson has now moved on. So if one of the newbs can't get it done yet, FSU could have a problem.
They do have awesome skill talent, particularly at RB, where they have Dalvin Cook and Jacquez Patrick. They are losing a bunch off their D, again, and except for the Clemson game, FSU's D largely did not play tremendously well anyway most of last year. But whether or not they can actually compete with Clemson this year will probably largely depend on whether or not one of their two very highly rated freshman QB's can at least approximate what Clemson has with Deshaun Watson.

prospects are for improving that issue. Their WRs should be very good.
Did they finally lose that 8 year starter at kicker?

We definitely are the favorite to win that game.. We have the best QB in the land, that alone gives us the best chance. But it is Florida state University @ Tallahassee more then likely a night game... So I do understand your jitters.

Not to mention I like Clemson in the role of Underdog. My biggest concern for next year is a preseason #1 ranking. Going into every game with everything to lose is exhausting and everyone will bring all they have to the table against us. It's a role we aren't used to playing and I can only pray that we are up to the task

He will have the best team he's ever had while at FSU next yr, not sure how much better it can be than the 2013 FSU team but it still concerns me. Regardless, Its going to be a difficult task to beat them in Tallahasee but even though we haven't won in that place in a while, we usually still play them a good game. FSU, Aub, Louisville, and GT will be out toughest games next year in that order. Imo, i think we can afford to lose 1 game and still make it to the playoffs.

Lose to FSU and forget the playoffs unless FSU loses more conference games and we somehow make it to the ACC championship. Not likely. That game really is the ACC championship game
