I did not watch the game, but I was told FSU was up big going into the ninth inning. Must’ve been one crazy ending, that’s for sure. I will watch the highlights on YouTube.
I did go on the FSU board and they are claiming the umpires were not good.
No idea who is going to win it all.
Maybe one day Clemson and Georgia can get back there and I think both teams are very close.

The check swing call in the 9th was horrendous. That was absolutely a swing and should have been strike three to end the game with FSU on top.
Maybe they just missed it incidentally. But that is a swing 100/100.

not only struck the guy out by throwing a strike, the Tenn batter swung at it and got away with it. They also struck out another batter earlier in the inning and did not get the call...and it was not a marginal call. In addition, they let the Tenn coach show his behind for a couple of minutes, with no consequences,yet a Clemson player gets tossed for running over from almost home plate to first base....while the two Florida players who shoved the Clemson player get attaboys.....
And this is the Gospel truth. I had a closing yesterday and my client is a woman in her mid sixties. I was wearing my orange shirt with a Paw on it ( and I laugh to myself when I think about all the years I wore a coat and tie, even a suit, not just for closings, but while showing homes in July!)...anyway, my client UNSOLICITED said,"Bryan, I watched the replay of Clemson's baseball game...and y'all got hosed!!!
This from a woman from Maine,self taught mechanical engineer,and ex Navy diver. She saw what we and everyone else saw.

ESPN controls the NCAA and they promote the SEC for ratings money. Florida is in the SEC if you have not noticed. Same type corruption as in our Federal Government. ESPN has gotten behind the SEC and Fox is getting behind the big 10. Leaves the ACC as Donald Trump. Up the creek and they took our paddle away.

True, except that Donald Trump has been garbage all of his life. But he was trained by his father, who sent him to collect "protection" money from merchants and rental property owners when he was 18 years old.
He's been a fake mafioso all of his life. The people of New York have known him as a business cheat and tax cheat for 40 years. (No bank in NY would loan him money.)
The only surprise has been that he was always able to get someone else to do his prison time for work he directed them to do -- such as his lawyer Cohen and his CFO of the Trump company.
There are plenty more cases against him in the pipeline. He has the chance, finally, to be convicted many times in the next year. Getting into the POTUS position will not stop trials against him for violations of state laws that will be felonies.
It's sad the Republican Party has sunk to this state. I blame the lying GOP politicians and FoxFakeNews, One America News, and other right-wing liars.
FoxFakeNews (FFN) didn't show this news or the settlement they paid Dominion Voting Systems (DVS). FoxFakeNews paid DVS $787,000,000.00 to settle damages for the lies broadcasted by FFN stating that the DVS software changed votes from DT to Biden, in Italy. (The Italian govt was POed about that lie.) FFN was just repeating the lies of DT and Guiliani.
But, the funny part was that Fox's lawyer asked the judge to dismiss the libel suit brought by DVS. The judge asked why. Fox's lawyer answered: "Only crazy people believe all that they hear on Fox News."
So he labeled MAGAs as "crazy." If that shoe fits, you should wear it -- or get a better news source. Have a nice day.

a call costs you a game you didn't do your job as a team. This applies to schools I love (Clemson) and teams I hate. take care of business and one call doesn't kill you.

I respectfully disagree, when evenly match teams are playing in a tournament situation, one bad call can be the difference between Winning and losing.

That’s not entirely true. I agree to a certain extent. Baseball is the ultimate individual team sport. So much turns on the pitcher and the batter. There were two very clear strikeouts in the inning and one wound have ended the game. It was strike even if he didn’t swing and he definitely swung. That call gave Tenn two extra outs. That call definitely changed the outcome directly. Psychology plays a huge role in sports. One call like that can push a pitcher off the edge. Especially 18-23 year old kids.

I think so. The checked swing was strike 3 and the 3rd out. IMO, the 3rd base ump blew the call.

Umpires always make calls fans don't like. UT fans went crazy over the balk that was called late in the game. FSU fans went crazy over the checked swing in the ninth that would've ended the game if the third base ump had ruled he went around.
But, to be quite frank, both teams made enough mistakes throughout the game that neither team has a fair claim to say, "We shoulda won the game."
FSU's problem was the same it was during the opening ACC series against Clemson. Our bullpen just ain't good enough. We're playing with house money in Omaha. It's a shame that we scored 11 runs against TN and that wasn't enough to win the game.
But, it wasn't.

Agree with you. All season, Tiger bullpen just wasn’t good enough to close out what should’ve been bigger victories.

That's how it now works. No team ever loses a game anymore. They were cheated by refs. This used to be an excuse most abandoned after middle school. Now it's standard.
