Duke, Wake, BC, and Kentucky aren't fighting for the same recruits as us.

does he have any idea what he's talking about?

Dye is a "scat back?" Really? He's 6' and 200 lbs. before even getting to college.
Did Clemson like having Elijah Daniel go elsewhere? No, but his decommitment was initiated on our end. We didn't want him taking visits, so we told him he couldn't be committed. So it's kind of weird to talk about Clemson being "stung" by his decommitment.
And Clemson has been the leader for Crowder and Adams pretty much ever since they offered them. Clemson offered Adams first, and that's one of the bigger reasons why he's got us up front. So what in the world is he talking about when says you wouldn't have thought Clemson had a shot with them 10 months ago?

For the most part, I think so.

"Scatback" may be a poor choice of words, but he is comparing his explosiveness and homerun ability to Andre Ellington's, and immediately thereafter points out that Dye is bigger. That sounds pretty accurate.
I don't think "stung" is far off at all; after all Daniel essentially decommitted when he took other vists. Our coaches obviously wanted him, and he decided he wanted to look elsewhere (decommitted) after being committed to us for nearly 6 months. Plus, he was the second DE to "decommit". It's like when your girlfriend starts dating other guys; you might tell her you're done with her, but she's already a step ahead of you. And yes, that stings.
I agree with you about Adams - we have been in it with him all along, if not the favorite.

IMHO, you take anything regarding recruiting at this point with a grain of salt. Remember, Dwayne Allen was "solid" to UGA until signing day. I have to chuckle at these people (whoever they represent) talking about "silent commits." If it's silent, how do they know?? The BS on this thread gets so deep, you have to wear hip boots. Let's face it, there are people posting on this board who are NOT Clemson fans. Could they possibly have an agenda??? Nobody knows a #### thing until NSD.

He never passes the opportunity to provide with a list of names that Clemson didn't get. As far as that 'recruiting against the SEC,' crap goes, I've got my own take.
We didn't miss on as many players as folks are led to believe. Some of them missed on Clemson. It's also notable that to have the players we did 'miss on,' distributed throughout another conference instead of having all them go to one team is a positive for Clemson Football.
It's also positive for us that most of them left the conference.
Clemson's glass is much, much more than half full.

Agreed. Danny Ford made a living on two and three star players that he got into the weight room and turned into beasts. In the day, stength was a source of pride, and it was a yearly goal to be the strongest team in the ACC, and one of the strongest teams in the country. There was constant publicity regarding who were the stongest players on the team. We beat what Tom Osborne called the best Nebraska team he had ever coached, not because of talent, but because we were physically stronger and had more endurance. But, nowdays you don't hear anything about that----now that we have become a "finesse" team. Sad, sad! Touch-feely.

Not so much on the score board. But when Clemson beat LSU as soundly as we did man to man. ALL THE SEC homers took notice. There has been some dirty low down recruiting near the end of this recruiting year. SEC schools has hammered recruits with their SEC is king BS. Beat UGA, and the coots and have a winning season. And our recruiting next year will be much better than this one. The beating of the sec chest will mean even less to recruits next year as far as Clemson is concerned. We do need for FSU and a couple other acc teams to come with us. That will be the only way we slow or stop the sec worship.

And why did we beat LSU? Well, let's look at how we practiced (for a change): Dabo had a "meltdown" on the first day of practice and finally got someone's attention (including maybe his own) Then: Tackle to the ground in practice---no more "two-hand touch." Next: The first-team defense went against the first-team offense in scrimmage, and also in one one ones. Plus they ran endless "gassers." The bowl game was won in the 4th quarter. Which team's players were still going all out and whose were strewn out prostate all over the field? Who won? And on the books, they had better talent than we did. I quote a major coach as saying the most important coach is the S&L coach. And that in MHO, is our Achilles Heel.
