Didn't Dabo say that the ACC was going to win a National Championship in the next couple years and everyone laughed hard at 'em? Not gonna be welcoming 'Bama or memories our last Orange Bowl appearance, but I am looking for another opportunity to prove to the country that Clemson can handle their business with the big boys.
Can't no one argue ACC is one of the better conferences this year. Need ND to join full time in football and we could be top 3-4 conferences in country, with B1G and BIGXII looking terrible.

Nobody likes a loss, much less two on a season, but a strong Orange Bowl performance against a top team would really do a lot for our program.

If Florida St. is soooo No.1 then they better handle
their business just like Duke is going to handle theirs.
If it so happens that we end up in the Orange Bowl
against Alabama...then we must just say "Ho Hum,..
we got to go to work tonight." For it will have to be
Blue Collar type of game. Or take it back during the
Great Depression days where real men used to go in
the back alleys, roll up the sleeves and slug it out
no matter how tired you were after work. Just saying.

At this point I just want to beat somebody.
I'd rather play in the Rose or the Fiesta,
because it shouldn't matter so much anymore
because this is the LAST YEAR of the BCS.
I think they should shake it up and do something
different for Clemson. We should conquer our Orange
Bowl nightmares but I don't see myself pulling for
Duke or Florida St.. May the best team win though I
dislike Florida St. more than I do Duke. In basket
ball I HATE Duke period. But thats another situation.
Where ever Clemson goes I want us to punch the clock
and punch the lights out of whoever we play.

As far as I can tell, Coach Cut is a good man who has done more for Duke football than anyone. Like the poster said above, both teams need to take care of business. Let the chips fall where they may. Clemson controlled its own destiny and did not take care of business. That does not mean I have to pull for FSU.

week. And for the last three weeks he has consistently had us projected two spots higher than we actually were ranked. So I would put too much stock in him saying there is not really a way we drop out of 13th or 14th. Also, what inside sources does he have that is telling him the Orange would definitely invite us.
I hope he's right, but he hasn't been right on us in weeks. How do you get a gig like that?

Pulling for the "noles" won't be needed. They will win the game by as much as they want. That is a sad proclamation, but if FSU beat us as badly as they did, Duke has zero chance of putting up a respectable fight. It's just a fact. That game will be a laugher, IMO. No offense to Duke which is a great academic school, but this is no Spelling B.

Look,I fully understand what happens if Duke should somehow pull the upset,but there is no way,no how,and nothing on God's green earth that would make me pull for the Noles.
Orange Bowl,or no Orange Bowl,the last thing I want is FSU sniffing the National Championship,or Winston the Heisman.

Hate to be the one to break it to you leftie but fsu has done sniffed the national title and winston will win the heisman fsu being national champs is a good thing for clemson and the acc we get to play them every year we want them to be good it benifits us more when we beat them dont think of it as pulling for fsu more like whats best for clemson.. GO TIGERS!!!

Sorry to break the news to you,but FSU winning the NC
does nothing for Clemson,anymore than Bama winning the
NC does for the coots.
I benefits only the team winning in terms of recruiting ,and publicity.
But hey,we are entiled to our opinions,aren't we?

I happen to agree with you. It just makes it easier for FSU to land even more top recruits and other advantages like ACC officiating "help." Remember the timeout that wasn't when Bowden was their coach? Those kinds of things...
