to win the first ever Augusta National Womens Amateur. She has gotten off to a good start in this tournament. Another reason I am a fan is, we NEED some new American players to come up through the ranks and start winning on the Asian (OOPS), I meant LPGA Tour. Nelly Korda is about an army of one. Lexi Thompson is retiring, and she never really lived up to the awesome promise of her athletic ability, thanks to a mediocre short game.
The Tour is currently dominated by players of Asian ethnicity. What makes them so much better? Is their work ethic just that much stronger than American girls? Are American girls no longer interested in golf? I would have thought that by now, what I call "The Annika Effect" would have produced a TON of great young American players, but I see no signs of it.
I am not in any way against Asian players. If they are the best, I applaud them. It just seems that they took over the Tour completely overnight, which is certainly not the case on the men's side of things. I will give them credit for one thing. Most of them seem to have made a concerted effort to learn the English language now. For awhile there, every time you had winner interviews, you had to have an interpreter. That did not make for a great golf broadcast.
Hopefully some of our former Clemson gals can make some waves out on Tour, come on Alice, Savannah, and all the rest!

My problem with the women's tour- It's boring, vanilla golf. They need to reward long hitters, like the men's tour. It all just seems to be shortish straight hitters with great putting and short game that dominate. I've been to some tournaments with my daughter. Neither of us were impressed by their length off the tee.

to your opinion . . . and so am I.
I enjoy the Women more than the Men because their game is relatable. The Men play a game I don’t even recognize, with their length and skill sets. For an old geezer, 250 yard drives are believable. Plus they look much better as they play the game I love.

overall are FAR superior putters to the men. The women are pretty vanilla with wedges in their hands, but you give them the flat stick, and they will smoke the men.

I'm sorry, but your post does not make a lot of sense. There is nothing exciting about golf watching guys that can bomb the ball. What is interesting is watching players on courses that make them think, like the recent British Open, where bombing a drive was not the path to better scores. Thinking their way around the golf course made it much more interesting. That is why watching golf on a course with a strategic design is more fun than watching golf on a 7600 yard course that only requires that you hit the ball a long way ...... that is boring.
That said, much of the interest in women's golf has to do with the lack of really good American women presently on the tour. I applaud the Asian women for their skill and competitiveness, but they certainly are not bringing in the American market and probably not helping with American sponsorship.

Thank you skeeta56!!! Scoring seems to be a bit higher today but I'm afraid the cut may go to +1 unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong but she needs to at least make a charge and find 2 feathers and no more bogeys. A couple par 5's but they are yielding few birdies.
How about Bryson, found an eagle. But Doc with the round of the day to blast his way up the board. Times clicking and they all need some points, as neither are inside the top 30. Go JB... he says, I still got game.
Carson.... make a birdie, then give it right back. Think he needs 1 or 2 coming home.

Sam Burns made MyfavOrange® smile today . . . His 6 Under Round has moved him 58 Places UP the Leaderboard.
Carson young can’t get out of his own way . . . His 4 birdies so far today have been accompanied by 4 bogeys . . . He is still inside the Cut through 14 Holes.
Jacob Bridgeman will begin his quest to maintain his overnight lead shortly! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Play Well TIGERS . . . Crisp and Straight All Day!!!

Congratulations to Kyle Cottam on yet another mini tour Dub!!! I think we all forgot to check the red rolling rock??? Tour.
Anyway, here's the link. I know it's the mini but Kyle's game is on fire. Hopefully he qualifies for the kft.
Jacob needs to get going. Not hitting it good on the front 9. Made some good up and downs...

Another GREAT FIND Clemgalalways® !!!
Jacob has responded to your plea . . . Looks like he’ll make Par on Hole #8 . . . Praying he can do the same on the #1 Handicap Hole (#9) to close out his Round.
The afternoon session is struggling today . . . Jacob, so far, is surviving it well.
