Horry Tiger 2's video of the 1988 Clemson/UofSC game made me remember the late, great Gary Cooper. I found this excellent article by Tim Bourret on Gary, written just after his death in 2015:

Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed the videos and had forgotten of Gary's time after Clemson and passing. He was really a great player.

I had forgotten as well. Gary and all of those players in the late 80's were part of some of the best days for Tiger fans.

He, Terry Allen, Rodney Williams and Donnell woolford are the first Tigers I remember as a kid.

Its uncanny the number of guys from Danny Ford's last few teams that have died. Pat Williams was an all around good guy, btw.
