The series in the 80's with uga was as good as it gets. Most of the younger Tigers won't even consider uga.

towards them but considering Spurrrier's in Columbia, their 4-game streak, the fact that they were UGa's only regular season loss, n' the fact that they're in the top 10 n' the last game on our schedule, I must say that beating SCU means more.
Actually, scratch that. Our next game is against Georgia. That is the most important game right now.

I graduated in 1980 and the Georgia series is more meaningful . That said when the two of them play each year I look at my son and ask the same question ? Can they both lose !

Then the beagles get sent into a downward spiral of epic loserville proportions like how we sent Auburn back to hell.
FSU means the most cuz they're our conference ashhoel n' the only thing holding us down.
Can we get a home n' home wif LSU? We still owe them 2.

It means more to me when we beat UGA....we have a long and storied rivalry.....but for our purposes this season, if we could only win one, I would have to go w/ USuC. Losing to the dawgs in August is something we could conceivably recover from....losing to the chickens in Nov. would be a calamity.

Georgia; the dawgs are viewed nationaly as a power every year and we seldom get to face them. When we do, there is usually a national spotlite on the game. As for the coots, we play them every year and we will continue to win more than our share and as soon as Spurrier is retired, they will again take their rightful place as an SEC doormat!!

Normally I would say beating USuC is more important, but winning that first game of the year can give you so much momentum. So in the case of next year, I will have to say UGA.

As a game, SC. Since I live in UGA, it changes things a bit,
Feb 9, 2013, 10:10 PM
|
|
I will say this. Losing first game of year is beetr than losing last game.
I say...if we beat UGA on week one. We will beat SC come Turkey week as well.
We will be stronger in some areas to open up but by late Nov. we will be as goos as any team in the country, especially if we are 11 and 0.
Bring on the CHICKENS, losing to them for 4 years stinks but beating them in columbia, and finishing 12 - 0 would make the last 4 disappear. The last time I say in willy brice and a team had a season like that, it was sc and they lost to us to go 0-12. The field was covered with ZERO candy bars. I WANT 12-0!
Go Tigers!

Back in the day when we were playing both every year, they were equally bitter rivals, and I would have chosen UGa because I live in the Atlanta area ... somewhat akin to an Israeli living in Gaza. However, today I would choose USuCk.

Yep, I feel the same way. Coots never have meant anything special anywhere other than in the state, and of course, when I was playing it was a big game due to the in state rivalry but really, it's just a regional thought, and nobody outside the region cares about usuc. They still mean nothing to me, but they have won a few lately, and it's time for them to go back to where they belong.
