This is unfortunately the same logic actual South Carolina fans use every year. We 'almost' beat LSU so therefore we are a good team. We have fallen to not only getting g beat by them, but using their same logic too.

You need to check yours. If we tackle that qb on the last play it's 4th and very long. Then we win if we stop the next play.

...but we didn't. And we lost. If we would've kicked a field goal instead of turning the ball over on downs we would've won too. If Cade wouldn't have ended the game with a pick we would've won, but he did. Long story short, we lost, again. There are no moral victories when losing to South Carolina.

The thought process is pretty simple. We are 1-3 against average or better teams. That 1 win came on a last minute run against Pitt. That Pitt game btw was against their backup qb, and we barely won. The point is, any team not named the Citadel or NC state this season has beat us.

Do I think we are one of the 12 best teams? No, not even close. But I’ll absolutely take a berth in the CFP.
